Hmm, if for ads free purpose I don't think worth it? But I'm uploading full size 36MP files nowadays to my Flickr... I think I will need the unlimited file size of the pro accounts instead of the 2TB USD499? :S
This is what I'm looking for. So I guess the advantage of the old pro account was, unlimited (but with 50MB per file) and also the statistics and replacing photos.

So far my 36MP JPEG don't go above 50MB... pretty safe for now?
*
I personally think the only reason to go PRO now is the unlimited space and the statistics.
Even the most expensive paid accounts from Flickr now only has 2TB of space.

Assuming I have 4k files at the moment, if each of them area 25MB... its only 100GB ._. not so fast go above 1TB LOL! I took 2 years to go above that... but if in 2 years time I go above 1TB... --> 400+ USD zomg.
That was the reason I purchase Pro and also the unlimited capacity.

Maybe we can just register for second account. biggrin.gif
then third account.

13mm f/5.6 should satisfy her, but a BIG hole in your pocket.

Have you change to Free status for Flickr?
I'm still contemplating whether to change or not.

Also, Flickr says there'll be advertising but so far I've seen none. hmm.gif

Have not decided to change to Free or not from Pro. What's your take on this?
*
I'm adopting the sit and wait approach, just want to get more info about the advertising Flickr intends to employ.
If they follow youtube style (advertising after viewing 10 photos), then better stay Pro.
Still waiting. hmm.gif

talk about that, youtube recently got those annoying ad banner is okay, but then when i want to click the cross icon, it straight pop out another window for this, and the worst thing is when it is a CHINA ads....  doh.gif

and recently dailymotion stream site did same... i get angry and install ad blocker  sweat.gif
*
Yes very annoying. I hate those kinds of advertisement. Kind of jeopardized the overall experience. vmad.gif

QUOTE(Andy214 @ May 22 2013, 11:40 PM)
It may take some time for the advertisers to sign up.

For those Pro account which would like to convert to Free account will get some sort of refund; but once you go Free, you can't GoPro.
Key point here is: You can go FREE anytime, but once you're Free no more going Pro; or maybe future they will come up with something else. After all, they need to compete with others.
Another point is, for Free account, just to remove the Ad, it cost double the Pro fees.
*
You are right, I think for now I'll most probably get the renewal for 2 years and see how it goes.

Just back at my hometown and tried sister's tripod. First time using a tripod...and this is her old broken Canon. Apparently the repair $ is enough to get a new one so she didn't bother repairing. I think she hadn't used it for 3-4 years.

Probably around RM6-7k if its still quite new?
Good deals often pop up from time to time. Last time Yannick was selling a used one for around RM7.8k (iirc) with 2-3 years warranty left, the one who bought that machine really lucky  laugh.gif

And thanks for the praise bro, appreciate it!
Still learning, a lot of things that I don't know  sweat.gif

Alright mate, thanks for the info. smile.gif

That many points really don't matter much. We need a more sensitive AF in lowlight that's accurate.
*
Yes, this very much welcome.
Current camera like Canon 6D or the Pentax K5 IIs can focus up to -3 EV.
A -5EV is very much welcome. biggrin.gif

Good to know  thumbup.gif
Well, the good thing is that you get "free" sensor cleaning from Nikon; even for dust that are not actually caused by the oil splattering  laugh.gif
Sensor cleaning not cheap yo
*
Just drop by their service center and request like that?
Canon also recently limit this sensor cleaning to CPS members only.
