Wow thats quite insane!
What about the 24-70? Is it alright? Thanks for the heads up about the metal mount on D600
24-70 is in perfect shape, surprise that got no scratch at all on that lens.

that's sad, but 24-70 got no tripod collar, so everyone who hang their 24-70 will have a chance for the mount to came off?

can sell the 24-70 and get another D600

dose not mean u must carry your D600 like a baby, but always remember, there`s only a piece of plastic in between your camera and lens, Dont Drop It.... (D800/D700 is connected on the metal dslr body)
QUOTE(gerald7 @ May 3 2013, 12:33 AM)
just dont drop or knock that lens somewhere.. There is always few reason why D600 is only cost 60% of D800...

wah sad RIP

just the front part rip off only need repair so expensive meh? ><
actually there is alot of parts connected there.. front body cover, inner body structure, and alot small pieces part.

the mount won't come off if you don't drop it anyway.
ya, but some camera survive some small impact cause their metal lens mount is attached on metal body, D600 is just on a piece of plastic... take 2 times more care on D600..
