Considering your budget is around 3K, it's even possible for you to get a D7000 and a tamron 17-50 for around 3.4K which is vastly better than a D5200.

For a D5100+17-50 combo. The price averages around 1.5K for the body+1K for the lens.

About 900 bucks savings which you can use to get an additional lens like a 35/50 1.8G.

Hehe, this shot is my #1 wishlist for Super GT 2013 after seeing my friend nailing this shot with the Autech GT-R last year! Was camping high and low, trying out different turns for this. Other wish list would be the start of the race... last year after grid I didn't know how to get to the turn 1 outside so I ended up without shot this year smart d hehehe.
