A public figure needs to be held responsible for his/her actions. Yeoh is a public figure. She can support whomever she wants but it's not a personal opinion when she openly asked others to do the same. Preaching about democracy but can't accept criticism for what she herself said. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. It's not entirely wrong to call her a traitor, by openly affiliating herself with a political party without caring for the sentiments of her fans she has "betrayed" their trusts.
