Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I'm currently studying LLB year 2 and we have 3 elective subjects to choose from which are Commercial Law, EU law and Family Law. Out of these 3 we have to pick 2 .
I'm not sure whether i will take clp or bar (bptc) after my degree as we all know bar is really expensive and it is not easy to secure a training contract to practise in the UK.
But they say even if there's a slight chance of me wanting to practise outside of Msia, I should take EU law( EU law is a compulsory subject to do bar)...
In fact, my real interest is family law. I wish to do major in family cases. On the other hand, commercial law seems very important even when I work in a corporate it requires my knowledge in it... I'm really having dilemma on which subject to give up...

I suggest you choose subject that you are interested in which are family law and commercial law. You can still decide whether to take EU law in year 3.

Would like to ask, if I have diploma and not STPM or A-levels and i want to take CLP exam.

Is that possible? What are the odds?

I sat for the CLP exam in 2014. (I have SPM, Diploma, LLB), Better check again with LPQB because there might be changes to the rules and regulations.

Hi all. Im an accountant and few years back i actually passed my uol llb. While i have made my decision to stay i  finance industry, i felt like probably it is times for me to also study clp since my work life now is more menageable.

My question is, assuming i pass the clp, must i attend pupilage for 9 months immediately, or the 9 months training can be of anytime? Im currently just intent to evaluate the option that i have although i do not foresee that i will be practising law in near future. Dont think i will be so enthu to pursue any further study once i hit 30 years old.

I passed CLP in 2014 and commenced pupilage in 2018.
