Outnumbered and outgunned, but not outmatched. Welcome to Call of Duty®: Ghosts, an extraordinary step forward for one of the largest entertainment franchises of all-time. This new chapter in the Call of Duty® franchise features a fresh dynamic where players are on the side of a crippled nation fighting not for freedom, or liberty, but simply to survive. Ten years after a devastating mass event, the nation’s borders and the balance of global power have been redrawn forever. A superpower no more, its economy and government in ashes, the country’s once-mighty military struggles to stave off complete collapse. As what’s left of the nation’s Special Operations forces, a mysterious group known only as “Ghosts” leads the fight back against a newly emerged, technologically-superior global power. Fueling this boldly reimagined Call of Duty® universe, the franchise’s ambitious new next-gen engine delivers stunning levels of immersion and performance all while maintaining the speed and fluidity of 60 frames-per-second across all platforms.

British retailer Tesco might have just accidentally outed the next Call of Duty game subtitled.
That's according to a product listing on Tesco Direct (the object has now been pulled down). This would tally with recent reports that the next instalment in the hugely-successful franchise would be subtitled 'Ghosts', which came from YouTube user Drift0r.
The listing also features credible box art bearing the Infinity Ward logo. The Infinity Ward studio previously worked on the tremendously popular 'Modern Warfare' entries in the long-running franchise. This would make sense since last year's Black Ops II was made by Treyarch. Has the Modern Warfare title been dropped following the high-profile departure and out-of-court settlement with Jason West and Vince Zampella?
The page also has a release date of December 30th – if correct, this would be unusual for the shooter which typically launches in early November. We expect it's just a placeholder.

A potential teaser for Call of Duty: Ghosts has appeared on the franchise’s official site. An image is slowly being built on a new teaser page, populated based on Tweets using the #CallofDuty hashtag.
While the image isn’t complete yet, it appears to be taking the shape of the mask of Simon “Ghost” Riley, the British soldier last seen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This would add credence to recent rumors that the next Call of Duty is called “Ghosts,” including retail listings that show off a potential box art.
The next entry in the Call of Duty franchise is expected to be revealed on May 1st.

As expected, Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Ghosts. Set for release on November 5th, Ghosts comes from original Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward and will hit Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in addition to being "available for next generation platforms."
According to Activision, Ghosts "delivers a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast of characters, all powered by a new, next generation Call of Duty engine that redefines the series for the next generation."
Confirming a retailer leak from last week, Activision showed off the game’s official box art and logo as well as a live action trailer hinting at what Ghosts has to offer. Activision also launched the game's official Facebook page.
“Everyone was expecting us to make Modern Warfare 4, which would have been the safe thing to do," said Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin, "but we're not resting on our laurels. We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we're building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We can't wait to share them with our community."
“Infinity Ward set the gold standard for first-person action for a generation, and they’re going to do it again with Call of Duty: Ghosts,” said Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg. “Ghosts delivers an all-new story, all-new characters, an all-new Call of Duty world, all powered by a next generation Call of Duty engine, which is a leap forward for the franchise. Infinity Ward is going all-in to create the next generation of Call of Duty worthy of the world’s greatest fans."
This marks Activision’s first official acknowledgement of Ghosts, following several leaks and early information via promotional material provided to IGN.
Little else is known about Ghosts, but Activision hints that much more will be coming during Microsoft’s announcement of the next Xbox on May 21st. Expect to find out more about Ghosts then, plus get "an exclusive first look at the game."

You'd have to be insane not to anticipate a Call of Duty presence at today's Microsoft briefing. Last week, IGN had the chance to get a preview of today's announcement and talk with the developers at Infinity Ward. The team promises the next iteration of Call of Duty will deliver a new experience, a new world, and a new engine. We're still waiting on firmer details of the story, but we do know that America is crippled by an attack, and that the player is part of an elite force sent to respond to the threat. The game's story is being written by Stephen Gaghan, the writer of Traffic.
This is the first COD game since mw2 that i am excited about mainly because of its new game engine, but to be honest im not really blown away by the graphics because i felt that the crysis series have already achieved this level of graphics
Feel like MOH Warfighter environment + COD playstyle and also saw new mode called Cranked(Goal: Rack up your next kill within 30 seconds or you'll explode), Search and Rescue(Goal: Recover Dog Tags to keep your teammates in the action or to send enemies to the bench), and other new mode like Blitz, Grind, Hunted and Safe Guard which haven't been shown in this trailer. Can customize uniform, and squad. But haven't seen most of killstreak, except K9 (stick around you), quadmotor, Deathmachine+Juggernaut, and chopper (unconfirmed, as have seen a player can shoot with rifle from heli on video 0:45) Haven't mentioned how game matchmaking..... yet. I wish IW can do server browsering like bf3 does.
Another video that reveal Ghost Multiplayer Feature which I have overlooked. It should cover most of features like game mode, killstreak.... oh btw, like BO2, no Deathstreak.
Need opinion guys!!.... Buy PS3 version or PS4 version of COD: GHOST? since im planning to buy the PS4 version of COD: GHOST but knowing that PS4 console only available 1st for US... so sad
