QUOTE(cherroy @ May 8 2013, 03:28 PM) No surprise, the right issue is 1:4 ya... can see the volume... scary... juz now selling down 1mil+ lot @ 0.06, scary...For every 1 MAS share, there are 4 MAS-OR. Somemore, people who don't want to fork out extra money to buy one, need to sell. For eg. bought 10K share of MAS at 0.70 (prior ex), at the cost of 7k. Now one needs to fork out another 9.2k to buy the right issue, so if no or don't want to fork out another 9.2K, need to sell the MAS-OR. The right issue is huge. seems like it is going to be "messy"... This post has been edited by ken_ng: May 8 2013, 03:43 PM |

QUOTE(cherroy @ May 8 2013, 04:19 PM) MAS-OR still will have a lot of buying. (as long as MAS share won't drop close to 0.23. great explanation If A is existing MAS shareholder, A can buy MAS-OR at 0.06, then sell off existing stake in MAS. Can pocket the difference in between. MAS-OR cost 0.06 + 0.23 = 0.29 cost of new MAS share. Existing MAS share sell at 0.35, pocket extra 0.06 cents but if it's like what u say so, then how come ppl still holding their MAS shares? |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ May 10 2013, 03:56 PM) I also dunno where he is wrong, but his calculation looks a bit wrong to me. I just can't figure it out. d difference is on the cost...1 cost is rm1.00, another cost is 0.60(1.00-0.40) that's y the % will b diff This post has been edited by ken_ng: May 10 2013, 04:03 PM |

suddently i think of sth my dad told me bout his calculation of profit and the calculation from the account firm.
eg: 1) my dad calculation -cost of itemA is rm10. then he sell rm20. from his pov, his earning is 100%. -earning/cost BUT 2) account firm calculation -cost of itemA is rm10. then he sell rm20. from the account firm pov, his earning is 50% only bcoz the accout firm's calculation is 10/20. -earning/selling price. |
