This is my first GE experience. Now I know. There is no time to buy in when market bullish. Some stocks that I sold pre-GE were up 30-40% or so, not to mention Gamuda-WD up 60%. Now I only can stare at them moving upwards sitting on large cash. Ok, good show, learning....bit sien though.

I found myself consistently regret after selling fundamentally strong stocks and missed the big jump.
Same as right now, 30% of my fund was wasted to gain an average of 20% profit during the GE fear.
I think I need to read WB words every night before sleeping, so that I can remember.

You are correct. The important is the $$$. Very simple only. Why bother the % on individual stock? Those are not accurate in either way of calculation.
We should only calculate the % as in total PL instead of individually.

Total PL% = Total PL/Total captial
And if to calculate CAGR, can also includes Total PL%/Total invested years.
And to deduct the inflation rate, just deduct from the Total PL that's all.

Fed's "idea" of preparing to end QE starts to take effect to the market? Never know, we'll have to wait and see. It's May anyway, anything can happen.

oops sorry, i thought it's all time high, now know it's only 52 weeks high. high enough anyway. Japan is revenging with Japan's own QE effect, Samsung is already sweating on huge currency loss.
