SuperSU, Superuser or the Chinese "授权管理" are actually of the same kind, they are root (SU) managers, in other words, they govern the apps which can access your root (SU), so that you can decide which apps, through the root manager can obtain root privilege. A rooted phone can do without any of them, but this will leave your phone vulnerable (as any apps can just simply access your root without your permission)

I would recommend SuperSU instead of Superuser, as SuperSU is constantly being updated by Chainfire (a veteran developer from XDA). Superuser has long being retired (meaning, its developer has cease to update this apps)
For those who are new,

"root/SU" privilege in Android are just like the "Administrator" privilege in Windows OS, with the "root/SU" privilege, one can ultimately alter his/her Android...

Oh my, thanks for clarifying this. I thought I have to use Superuser only. Ok will try SuperSu after this and hope everything will go a okay. Kalau tak jadi jugak, anyone kind enough to help me root the hp? KL area, I belanja MCD!

You are welcome...

This thread actually describe very well basically all what we need for the One Touch Glory 2S.

I managed to root 2S using the rooting software from mygun, and I purposely bricked it twice and tested the ONE TOUCH UPGRADE S, it works fine as claimed.

For those who successfully rooted but unable to let other apps (such as Titanium Backup) uses the root privilege, the most probable reason will be you have unintentionally (problem in understanding the language) "deny" those apps the access to root, through the Chinese root manager (which of coz, the ban can be lifted through the root manager as well).

Happy "rooting" smile.gif

i guess u need to update the su binary
then 1st then once u open the apps , it should ask for su permission , if not press menu > reload application
so far i use no problem eh , i suggest once u guys facing some problem try search XDA dev forum for some similar processor phone or similar spec one
i usually google like this in this case
xda titanium no superuser problem/xda alcatel titanium backuo
then read some pages to help myself instead waiting other to reply , sometimes i forget to reply ur question, im sorry

Wouldn't recommend that actually. while it gives more space to install apps, the ram is too little

u r right... but how useless we can just install too little apps and memory got full... the ram will be used when apps is active... however.. swap memory can improves the phone performances becoz apps need space to operate... it up 2 u all.. my alcatel 4010 run smooth after swap the memory... thumbup.gif
