component speakers consists of a pair of mid-range/mid-bass, tweeters and passive crossover. 2-way meaning the tweeters and the mids. 2 diff sound levels senang cerita. the crossovers function is to seperatre the audio frequencies and distribute it to the correct speaker.

n this is 3-way 6x9

notice the oval shape? thats the 6x9. as for the 3-way, its explained in the pic.

n this is coaxial speakers

take note that coaxials are almost always round. not oval. they could range from 2-way up to 4-way (max ive seen). coaxials usually consist of the midbass and the tweeter built into one cone. tweeters are built into the speaker....sumthin like the 6x9, only its round...it DOES NOT come with a crossover. what u see in the pic is what u get when u buy coaxials.

electronic x-over is to be used to connect the HU to multiple amps. not meant for component sets. thse x-overs are usually used with RCA cables.

if u want crossover to for ur component speakers....then ull need the passive crossovers. like the ones in the pic of the comps above. those u connect them using speaker wires.
