more of a noob enquiry, but how does a carraro 915 or 916 d'ambiez fit into a beginner, whom have not ride on a bike for more than 15 years with a tight budget?

how about merida ride lite? 91, 93? kinda tight on budget. plus, i don't think i wanna splurge on it as a beginner, though.
