QUOTE(butthead @ May 10 2013, 12:11 PM) flat bar for RM5k.. is too much... furthermore... not much flatbar choices... unless you take a roadie and convert it... Would it be better to go for alu or entry level carbon then?as for RM5k... you can up it by a bit and get entry level carbon from merida or polygon or you can get a more branded aluminum like BMC streetracer or Specialize Allez... depends on what you want... |

QUOTE(butthead @ May 10 2013, 09:23 AM) self induced headache...why la aah..perhaps early next year then. saving money.me and politics is like water and oil... don't mix well if not at all... sl5 is not going to make it this year....why?...because they didn't do any previews or anyone getting spy shots of it... furthermore.. for them to launch a bike this important.... they want big shots that ride specialize ride it in the grand tours... and this is especially none other than contador and they will need to provide him one to get comfortable with months before the tour and hence the spy shots.. if you remember... in 2011, he rode the tour on his SL3 when SL4 was launched shortly just before the tour on the basis that he is more familiar with his older sl3 as some of his teammates are already on the newer platform.... pro riders are very superstitious as i say... VENGE is weak.. you have to buy a shiv and turn it into a road bike...and you have to get the tri version ![]() that shiv looks fast! i've seen P5 before, so flat like it's made from card board.. OTH, one guy latched on my rear wheel...i smoked him on a short climb. and that moment, was really SWEET. Looking forward for more moments like that in the future |

So....false sense of jubilation! |

Polygon have a good selection of flat bar bikes around RM1-2k. rest of money can invest in accessories ie. stand pump, hand pump, helmat, in this case, clip shoe clip pedal not required, cycling pant, cycling jersey, a good sunglasses, bike meter. cycle is 1 thing, look good also another important thing. waits, ur partner friend and cousins never poison ur partner??? ish ish.... this is not how cycling community works! we poisons each other. |

Any thoughts on Opera Super Leonardo? All i know from the net and from lbs that it is a low profile pinarrelo older design.. Is it common in Malaysia or Singapore? Its rare in Australia cos the dealer is pushing more on Pinarello.
Notice super Leonardo is equivalent to Paris My lbs is dealer for opera and I am considering building up a bike from it before i come back to kl for good. This post has been edited by minizian: May 10 2013, 05:10 PM |

Hi actually they poison him terribly. Brand like Time. Ducati. Argon. Look. But we prefer not to spend so much so that's why seek external advice. They said Polygon out but no give reason. cycle is 1 thing, look good also another important thing. waits, ur partner friend and cousins never poison ur partner??? ish ish.... this is not how cycling community works! we poisons each other. Some say my partner is tall. Frame hard to find. Better get expensive frame from start so no need upgrade frame, only parts. Justification is my partner tall, big bike less resale value. Harder to sell. Others say start small. Get normal bike and upgrade as he goes. What's your advise? Noticed front page got put price range. That will help. |

They said Polygon out but no give reason. have you and your partner ever visited any bike shop? Visit few bike shops, and you will be able to identify which is good which is just pushing to sell. That will help. walk into bike shop with clear intention on ur purpose of bike and budget. A good sales person will explain to you accordingly (which you will be hardly find nowadays) most of people walk into bike shop with homework and research done at home. Polygon is from Indonesia and in other's mind it's no match with brands u mention above. Thus no reason needed. death penalty. there's many thoughts on a bike. For some, they know their path, race intention, thus they get the high end carbon bike and no future upgrades needed. For some, they dont know how much they will likes cycling, thus they get entry aluminium level bike. For some, they know they likes cycling, but dont know how far, how sustain they able to be in cycling, they get mid level aluminium bike with 105 spec. beside that, an after sale service from a bike shop also important. We not able to put price on front page as the prices of a bike can range from hundreds until many many thousand. btw, not yet buy a bike already thinks of its resell value? |
