Hello,

Need advises from experienced land owners who have done land clearing on their private land before. I'm thinking to clear my one acre land which is currently full of bushes and trees. the land is located just beside a road, therefore its easily accessible by bulldozer or excavator.

just to check whether anyone here from Kuching who knows the rate and costs of land clearing here ?

more info

- land located not far from town, Batu Kawah, Kuching
- land not sloppy
- 'medium grown trees'
- easily accessible

i have approached few land clearing contractor and their offers are around rm1000-rm1200 per day ( hourly rate rm100 + transportation of excavator fee ) and the job will be done approximately within 2 to 3 days.

what can i do with the trees ( besides burning ) after they've cleared the land ? are there any companies would like to purchase or collect them ?

future plan for the land is to build a roof shade for lorries and trucks can i just load the lands with rocks to make it more firm ? etc..

Appreciate experienced land owners to share their advise and experiences.

P.S the photo uploaded is taken from the internet and is not from my land but its somehow similar. a reference.

Thank you very much.

Thanks for replaying skng smile.gif

its an one acre land.

there are few tall trees that might need to be carried away by lorries. Do u know the rate of exporting the trees ?

for the small trees and bushes, i might be burning them..

Cheers !

TS, if only one acre, just let them burn the trees loh... If the alam sekitar dont come and saman you....

As for the trees that being dispose off site, just ask them for a discount for the site clearing since they got jalan to sell the tree log. 1acre dont have much valuable trees also lah....

Cheers..

Those are not tress, more like bushes and some secondary plants.

u can get a backhoe contractor to quote. Much cheaper. Just stockpile those plant at a side for decay and dry. Next time cart away will be easy and cheaper. Why rush to use excavator? 1 acre only. Very small land nia.

how to find the land clearing contractors without having to go to developers?

Yellow pages seem to only list developers for Kuching area.
