Hi guys, after quit from ICE for some times, FINALLY I can't hold my self back any more longer and I got my self two set of new amp for "dusted" previous setup.

After some survey in quite a number of accessories shop in Cheras/Ampang area, I found a car audio shop in Pandan Indah, Ampang. Their service does surprised me, very boss and staffs approached me automatically once i step into their shop and of course, they started to poison me .

After a long poison session, I can't stand it anymore and I confirmed to get 2 amps from them.

So, Below is my humble entry level SQ setup. Please feel free to leave any comment or suggestion that I can made to improve my setup further with minimum cost. (Wallet already bleeding badly)

2) Focal FPP 4100 4chn AMPLIFIER
3) DLS Ultimate UR6i Component
4) FLI 12" subwoofer
5) Phoenix Gold Platinum series RCA cables
6) 0 gauge Phoenix Gold battery cables

8) Kia Forte OEM player

how u connect the oem player to the 4ch arr ?

Woaw~~ 0 gauge cable o.O sibeh thick lo. TS if next time got tt pls join yea, never heard for DLS before. My little suggest is, if u wan have improvement pls change ur HU

Haha Gary, changing a HU gonna bleed my wallet deeply again. Last time was using Alpine 117E, and now sold to LYN member, Thundergod_cid coz single din will definitely looks ugly in my car. And double din is so exp.
The 0 gauge is quite thick and bought back in few years ago. Was taken out from my old car.

Get an aftermarket 1(pioneer, alpine) definitely will sound better than stock 1.

Haha, true, using OEM HU is quite a waste to the setup. Any TT session to join?
Hope to listen to others member's ICE setup. So far only got few chance to listen in other member's car.

I saw the price is about the same wor. Like in M'sia, RM1k, in SG, SGD1k too.
Maybe they still can lower their display price la, or I just went into the wrong shop.

Buy in shop everything overpriced lor.
U need to check out from online seller.

If you're sticking to the OEM player you may want to consider getting the Audison Bit Ten

What car have you get these stuffs hooked up to?

That's a good thing! but how about the price?

...which is why I asked what kinda car you have these stuffs installed at cause if its the ones with a fully integerated OEM system then it would be feasible to get the BIT TEN...otherwise the money can be spent on a nice H/U....

Kia Forte, I saw it from the web and I found it has the OEM input and output as RCA. So it also work as HI-LOW converter?

Why dun u try jbl ms8? Instant upgrade from ur current sound and tunes for u as well.

was trying to stick to the OEM hu... and now looks like change HU is the best option ady..

Better get a nice H/U....will give you ample of improvement....

If u must stick to oem hu. get a ms8. My fren's forte sounded totally diff with juz ms8 installed. not bad at all for stock system.

Yeah, good idea. But now I think still had to stick back to my current setup. Or mostly only can get a better Hi-Low converter.
Btw, howie I need to "open a hole" at my rear to let the woofer's sound come out from the trunk. do u do this service?

They can, after I got the ICE installed, I found that my door panels and some panel clips got broken and scratches, kinda sad with the workmanship. Although they said can respray the scratches on the door panel for me, but the color will not be 100% with the original color. When I think that it will bcome 2 tone, I hold it back.

Same faith dude ! Really very fedup leh when see this kind of things happened to our "wife". But today I went there again to do some tuning, they volunteer to open the hole for me. FOC, and I agreed. But this time they do it carefully la... Luckily nothing broken.

Hi, my DLS is doing good.. Sound quality clear n clean. This DLS Ultimate midbass is nice !
And mind to share the price and where u going to buy ur speaker? Coz I'm looking for another set of it too.

I surveyed and compare price between KL and Penang and found out that Penang is slight cheaper.

Woofer: DLS Reference RMW12" (PG - RM6xx / KL - RM1100)
Amp: DLS Reference RM40 (PG - RM2400 / KL - RM2200)

I do Price Check at KK Lau (Ara Damansara) and ACP (SS2).

How bout yours?
