Lots of hogwash in this thread.

Anyway, drinking too much teh tarik will likely give you diarrhoea, increased heart rate, palpitations, stomach discomfort, headache/migraine, alertness, dizziness - muscle cramps are very unlikely. These are the effects of taking too much caffeine and teh tarik is loaded with caffeine.

This is my experience more than 15 years ago. After a few glasses of teh tarik at warong or kedai mamak I got stomack cramp and pain. I suffer for several years & not knowing it is due to teh tarik. Pergi klinik was common events and doctors said - gastric. It cost me a fortune paying those clinic bills.

Then one day a friend told me that those teas are not pure tea. It contains other ingredients like artificial colouring, gambir (normally use for dye) etc.

I stop taking those teh tarik and only drink boh tea, or lipton tea. Then the rest is history. I don't suffer anymore tummy cramp or gastric. No more doctor visit due to gastric

Teh-O = fine
Teh with milk = cause palpitation, accelerated heart rate, breathing difficulty, anxiety

Good thing you found out.

Conclusion: Do not drink teh with milk.
