A light rail transit (LRT) station will possibly be situated at the township and the request is now in the hands of the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) which will decide on the matter.

“This final decision is by the authorities, not us. The lines have not been planned but the local council has submitted a request to recommend for SPAD to locate a station here. We think that it is a step in the right direction since the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has recognised this,” he says.

According to the model township design at its iGallery showcase sales centre, an LRT station is also proposed and the station eyes the connection to the present Kelana Jaya Line. Should this public transportation facility be built according to plan, it will help reduce congestion once the high-density projects dot the area.

Hopefully the line also passes through Bukit Jelutong.

Based on government planning, the "LRT 3" (the code name for future Kelana Jaya-Klang line) won't start anytime soon, unless the three MRT lines for KL has been completed.

What?! Money problem? And Klang has very little people? Are you kidding me? Klang is two times bigger than Kuala Lumpur, we needed public transport more, as least buses. The Fed Gov only think of developing KL KL KL KL KL KL when it's so crowded already

Took us 30 mins to subang and 45 to Kl central

Was looking for properties last year and went to i-City, and apparently there's a station but they couldn't confirm with me what station and if it's a done deal.

can I assume there goner be 1-2 more station built before reaching i-city?

I dont mean little people, it is about density, so while the need is there, the density is low and so the proposed ridership is low, they expect the ridership only 100,000 daily.

In contrast, MRT 1 proposed daily ridership figure is 400,000.

More immediate plan is to build KL-Klang BRT.

Now Klang will need it a lot. They build it and I can tell you, they will get more than just 100k daily. At least, they'll need to build stops/stations at the right places. I 'researched' where in Klang requires stops/stations desperately, but that's a lot of them lah... I'll try to draw on a map when I am free.

For LRT 3, apart from I-City, I think Bukit Jelutong, Space U8, both should be covered too.

Kampung, I think people would prefer MRT/LRT over BRT..

Or in other version Metro/Rapid Train > Metro/Rapid Bus..

Dunno why.. In HK, SG, I rarely or seldom take the bus, bcos I prefer Train over bus as well..

Kampung can tell the estimate completion time for LRT extension project, MRT, and the arrival of the monorail 4 coach trains?

For LRT extension, what has been said to the press is that it will happen in 2015, in phases.

MRT line 1 shall be completed in December 2016 for Sungai Buloh-Semantan section, while KL Sentral - Kajang possibly in July 2017.

Monorail 4 coach not known, no firm date. I have asked the staff, he said should be within this year. They have the trains (4 or 5 sets) in the depot, but now need to complete the station upgrades such as platform doors........new roof....test new signalling system as well.
