I don't find it weird n I couldn't be bother if others think so. As long it fits into my pockets I am fine with it. I can even easily fit my 7 inch to 7.7 inch tablet ( except ipad mini) into my side pockets
I just order lastnight the 5.9 inch Pantech Vega6 to try out. Specs look good

aspire2006 photos shows tablets 7 inch and greater those guys uses as phone. I never use my tablets to make phone calls. Is only a bonus that the tablets can make phone calls
Following the trend of some guys who doesn't mind using tablets - ASUS has released its FonePad ( 7 inch display phone which happens to be a tablet secondary) and is darn cheap at RM700+ only. Of course the specs are not that high end but not mediocre either
The trend of using even tablets as phone will pick up. I remember everyone was shocked that the first Note was considered even too big to be used as a phone
Anyway I did a cardboard cut out of the upcoming Note 3 ( assuming is 6.3 inch display n size specs) and I'd say the size is not much bigger than the present Note 5.5. I'd say I'd feel comfortable using it as a phone

RIGHT ON ! After having used the Note 2, using even a 5 inch phone I find too small already ( eg Xperia Z and Butterfly)
I thought the Xperia Z could replace my Note 2 but I was wrong. At the end after 2 months, I bought back the Note 2 at RM 100 more than what I sold off the previous Note2 . Now the Xperia Z is just a spare phone , which I take out for my morning and evening exercise

Use TWRP recovery -it is listed in my link under rooting in post 7 ( update to Dr ketan method)
TWRP is faster by 50% in backup n restore n all backupscin a single folder (easy maintenance) vs CWM split into 2 folders n you cannot identify your backup in the obb fokder

Read it first. As long as you know how to use a PC n know how to type in your selection it is done for you. It is menu driven

I mentioned already use the app Mobile Odin to flash it. Open the app select recovery n browse to where you keep your recovery image file. Than select flash.

If PPI is so important for you, why S4 - buy instead the HTC One whose ppi is 469 , the highest of all smartphones to date
Seriously, I dont see much significant difference between it and the Note 2 ,.I don't feel disappointed watching videos on Note 2 either. You are WRONG to say Note 2 has a dull screen - or should I say you use a wrong word . Text do appear better on the HTC One but than if you view the text closely . At normal viewing distance at , say about 10 inches away the difference is negligible
Higher PPI only justify bragging rights if you own a higher PPI phone compared to others

I don't use wechat but most xperia z owners complain when in use they cannot hear the other party when calls come in

You can safely delete all your files in internal memory. After you restart the phone, some basic folders/files will be rebuild back - don't touch these

Flashing firmware from a different region will void warranty
You can flash any region firmware on your phone
Check your present version first and download a copy of it first from sammobile.com/firmware. Than you can flash it back using Odin in PC if you wish to claim warranty

Just boot phone to recovery ( press simultaneously volup+home+power) and released all the 3 buttons once you see the second Samsung splash logo. You will see recovery menu
Select backup from there - you can choose to rename backup, and its location in internal or external card
Obviously you don't even know the very basics of how to boot into recovery asking this
It just amaze me so many of users such as you who jump in doing stuffs without understanding all these basics. Just be careful before your phone gets brick - than it will be a panic time

If you don't try , how will you ever know what is inside recovery mode ???
You will not brick your phone doing any backup. Just make sure your phone is at least 50% charge
And I am not wise ; I learn all my stuffs by trying ( I am not worried about bricking ) and through it have experienced soft brick and even hard brick before. I learn also by reading thoroughly all the user comments at XDA
I am sorry you will not be able to find easily any source that will tell you A is for Apple, B for Boy and C is for Cat. You just need to try and experiment yourself
