I know this is becoming an old story, but to think that someone could get con of rm1700 to rm1800... that's a lot of money (to me).

So today (and the last story) from mudah, a seller posted new Note 2 from Seng Heng, with extended 3 years warranty. Lowest s/he go is RM1700. But when I view the resit, it is today 3pm, bought at setapak rm2xxx and yet immediately s/he wants to let go at rm1700. Seller claims I don't need to know the reason.

To me, this could be another con job. No matter the resit is real or however they managed to get one... I just want to highlight conman are getting better each day. It is really difficult to separate the good from the bad. It saddens me so many ppl are "ok" with cheating other ppl's money. What have become of us...

By the way, the resit has no imei or phone serial number.

To update on rooting method. This time I did not use ChengLu method ( root cum CWM) but opt instead for Chainfire auto root. You can download his file from
http://download.chainfire.eu/264/CF-Root/C...gxx-gtn7100.zip
Flash the extracted tar file as PDA using Odin in PC

According to dr Ketan :

Method 1:
Disadvantage : Here you will get full root access, but here recovery will remain stock, so you won't have option to flash zip files (still you can flash zip with Mobile Odin), but you won't have any option for Nandroid backup/Restore.
Advantage : You have to reset flash counter once only, then whenever you need to reset to unroot/ready to claim warranty, just you need to go to superSU - setting - unroot.
So If you are Flash counter conscious and really don't have need for nandroid backup, This one is for You.

His mentioned disadvantage can be easily overcome . Just use Mobile Odin and flash the TWRP recovery img.tar file and you will have recovery installed
The TWRP img file can be downloaded at :
http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/n7100

For ppl who do not have mobile odin pro, how to flash zip files?

I'm using
[ROM] Android Revolution HD 15.0 | High Quality & Performance | XXDMC3 | Jelly Bean.
And I try to use Simplistic Framework: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029712
But Simplistic only mentioned {LL4/7, MA5/6/7, MB2}, nothing of MC3.. this means I cannot flash the zip file?

Well, I did finally get one from Mudah. New DG set at RM1588. Not exactly my choice of colour but can't complain much. COD location was close to me, everything is new. Just no free gift like when you bought from shops.

Ha... watching videos about this and that. No too sure about how to use mobile odin, but after watching all the vids, I think I got it.

According to uncle benny,
1) root with CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100 using Odin3 v1.85
2) then I did the openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.1-n7100.img with mobile odin
So now I have TWRP... but my power button is just normal not extended
3) So I got myself GooManager from playstore (in order to restart in recovery)

I initially thought I could do zip flashing with mobile odin, but.. not familiar with the buttons and options at all. After I use TWRP to flash to Android Revolution HD rom, mobile odin is gone.

Then in S3, I remember from TWRP 2.4, I just flash with philz_touch_4.93.6-i9300.tar and I got CWM. Now in N2, with TWRP 2.5, I can just flash and get CWM right?

Oh, haven't got a memory card for it right now, so backup is kinda limited space after load from TB. Ppl tell me those black colour micro sd .. many are fakes. If we buy the 2 colour micro sd, usually they are genuine but a bit more expensive. Betul ker ni?

hahaha... well, not sure la if your black card is not genuine. It is the camera shop in lowyat, beside the escalator guy who told me. My dad went and bought 2 tablets from them, so he try to sell his micro sd also 32GB at RM120 (2 tone sandisk). When I said others were cheaper, he told me that.

oh ya.. what a fantastic compilation of roms and kernels.

after flashing simplistic framework, now I have SuperSu and Superuser (i selected Kouch during installation of ARHD v15)... do I need to get rid of one?

also, i don't see any simplistic icon, where do i go to change the settings? or it is just a framework without settings?

problem problem... my fren also got a note 2 but later found that once insert the sim card it says no network registered. so we figure maybe this is ap set and is locked with other carriers overseas. we searched online and found the unlock method, but requires downgrade to 4.1.1 with stock rom. we downloaded the 1GB file from sammobile, but after flash using odin 3.07, now it stucks at Samsung logo and will not boot. Have waited for more than 20 minutes.
Flasheded this: N7100XXALJ3_N7100OLBALJ3_XME

What to do now?

Well, i got the phone boot up fine now, but after more research i discover actually it is the imei number being damaged and thus DG does not recognize it and so I get "Not registered on network error".

How to restore which eps backup? Or how to repair this imei issue?

Just to share my experience... for the efs problem / generic imei.. you can go to 1U second floor and get them to help. If it is under warranty then it is free. If no more warranty, they say will charge a minimal fee. My fren's unit didn't get done in an hour, but instead 7 hours later they sms to say the unit is ready. While at the counter, the fella said one week!! But no arguments there, cos the counter guy didn't know what was the problem. I guess the technician was working the afternoon shift that day.

During pick up, again the guy at the front counter said we changed your mobo. We don't believe that, but we smile and say thank you. Now it is working as it should. AND PLEASE BACK UP YOUR EFS.

Should go one step further. Backup efs, leave one copy in sd card, copy one efs backup into pc as well.
