Make sure u dl the right gapps , it's 4.1.1 . Flashing latest gapps and u get fc when u click on "settings > ☆★♡♥ " ...... Forgot what is it d . I ran away from it , "Android System" is crazily high , around 20% average but that was till last month . Haven't try d latest miui for almost a month .
*
From what I've seen before, its normally about phone which crashes, but so far so good with 4.1.2 gapps hmm.gif

But the ROm is pretty laggy, must tweak GPU steps maybe, will monitor batt life, but as usual, Ill most probably flash back to wanam lol.Maybe just try it for a day~

Bro why don't you submit a few entries in the survey as you have been playing around with many roms. The "best" graph seems to be shaping up nicely here already:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key...hVcEs3bXc#gid=9

More entries will iron out the extreme values.

Click the Survey link in my sig.

It's just a selection for Location, then your parent forum, then username is a freetext field. Enter whatever you want.

Then 3 more choices,
1. Select ROM from dropdown
2. Select correct version from dropdown
3. Rate it
4. Optional "other" remarks freetext
Submit.

Ah i see, was finding on that graph link you gave lol. btw, miui is now version 3.5.3, no have under version number sad.gif

Personally , worst batt life I got for TW based rom . On average, I get between 2-5% drop over the night of 8 hours on wifi except MIUI where I get between 10% drop on average while sleeping . Anyway , give it a try , who knows they improved it . U got the xda version or ori MIUI version ? Find the ori version better
*
using the official one, will see how it goes tonight nod.gif

I usually get 4 percent drain at night with wifi too,so hopefully this retains that biggrin.gif

I'm following the [INDEX] thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1926506
where there's currently no direct MIUI but rather a port by ewmno

[attachmentid=3426353]

If you are running MIUI directly from a non-XDA site I don't have it tracked currently.
*
3.4.8 also not there wor....now the latest version is 3.5.3, since last Friday...so I guess I shouldn't input my ROM right?

Another site , miuiandroid.com . . . It's mostly few days to a week slower then official but it's where u get additional language pack for the "latest" build and tweaks added like miui toolbox .
http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/3-5-3.20284/

using this one simply because there's an english language forum there lol, dont wana be flashing blindly.

+1

For those who backup their EFS using EFS backup tool found in xda months ago like last year , download the latest n backup again . Apparently the first few version got some bug and EFS can't be restore . That was also 1 of the reason I ended up visiting Samsung last time .
*
does this only apply to the tool by i9000 or also TWRP? hmm.gif

might just flash latest TWRP, backup EFS, then flash back abyss recovery tongue.gif

btw, going back to my nandroid, batt drain too high with MIUI, other than that its actually very awesome, stable and the default apps looks so awesome and works really well with all kinds of functions. Too bad it feels like I took out my note 2 battery and put an s2 battery lol.

Anybody know how to keep the old market from updating to the new one..?
I try uninstall the updates but later on it will update by itself vmad.gif
*
Really miss the featured apps page of the old Play store, damn it la Google, you know you shouldn't be making an app worse if you intend to make it better doh.gif

on the other hand, f*ck yeah, viber has finally gotten rid of their ridiculous shitty looking app for HOLO,baby!!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...iber.voip&hl=en

I saw the viber thread on LYN, and was thinking "I wonder if they have something new and interesting to announce, but whatever it is, it wouldn't actually be an overhaul as thats just being too optimistic", but whaddaya know! Hopefully the memory leak issues, wakelock issues is all gone too tongue.gif

Hopefully. I usually install n-2 versions of software and let the guinea pigs users try it out first.
BTW this dude has b*lls:

*
going thru r/asmr now, there's even a subreddit for something like this?? rclxub.gif

and I like how diff subreddits has diff themes. The android one looks really nice with the card like comments thumbup.gif

and for the guy on that vid, I'm pretty sure he is just joking right? coz what he's trying to do is so wrong on so many levels lol.

For me, it only happens when I have 500mb left, should not be the case with 1gb left hmm.gif

Sigh, hope samsung releases 32gb and above versions of the Note 3 and say goodbye to 16GB versions....

The Asha 501? 320x240. ........ what a major step backwards. Not sure if stuff like Whatsapp will go on it. Then again there's no 3G either.
*
300 bucks man, of course HVGA would have been nice, but its looking pretty good in terms of UI.The res would also mean that the batt life should be pretty darn good, and it looks gorgeous!!

Treat it as a spare dumbphone. I suppose an S3 mini at around 700-800 would provide far more utility. I think the 501 looks too squarish with its 4:3 ratio.
*
Good for people who want a secondary phone which has a really long lasting battery, but don't wanna go back to keypad based phones tongue.gif
