yeah agree with that cos ah alienware is better in those stuff [upgradable and performance] but also more expensive but if money is not problem then go for m17x and beware its damn heavy XD
*
i think better u try illegear or sager laptop, i owned a sager but sell it and buy my m14xr2, my sager 15.6" doesnt feel hot at palm area even play intense game compare to my m14x now, its quite hot i would say, sager laptop also more user friendly, easy to clean, upgrade and cheaper than alienware, in terms of warranty i definitely say dell is the best. if i want to buy new laptop in the future, i will go for sager smile.gif

Haha.. thanks.. hopefully by the time GTX 7xx comes, the 6xx price drops significantly.. hehe..
i forgot bout the colour, later i'll check back. how do i know the amount of power needed for the new gpu? haiz, i really scared to update the bios, afraid I might brick my whole system... T_T
*
haha, do some research about how to upgrade gpu, last time i want to change the gtx460m in my previous sager, but in the end i sold it and buy m14x.LOL

It's the latest one already which is A12.

I'm not sure where to change the settings in the Bios as everything looks fine for me.
And it has set to UEFI mode.

Really no idea why took so longĀ  hmm.gif

Okay, this may seem like a very dumb question too, but can I upgrade the CPU and is it worth it?
And where may I buy the GPU and the CPU from if I am able to replace it?

Sorry for the silly questions but I don't game on my laptop at all, I use it for audio purposes but the reason why I want to upgrade it it that I might wanna start playing some games on it soon.

bro, if u got money, i suggest u to sell your alienware and buy a new haswell laptop coming soon equip with AMD 8990 or GTX780, u can take a look on illegear laptop as they are more accessible, and can upgrade cpu and gpu too. btw im not a reseller..lol

Hello guys, was just wondering any help or suggestion can be given for the problems I'm having...

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2827293

I'm not buying another Dell products if they can't get this problem solved. Even if they managed to I'd still be reluctant to. Two 45mins phone calls made and still they won't acknowledge the SSD has issue just because their onboard diag says the SSD is working fine.

Since when Dell's warranty service became this lousy? What happened to their "No questions asked"?

Sigh.

next time if u speak with the customer service, just tell them that your ssd is corrupted and want a replacement, dont expain in detail and make sure they understand what u want..this is my 1st time i use dell, the warranty is superb, and they even replace the motherboard with new one because my fault insert memory card and it stuck there, smile.gif

Hi guys! Alienware noob ere...just wanna ask sifus opinion here, should I buy the M14x now or wait for the new r3 model? I already asked Dell rep he quote me for around RM5.1K for:

-i7-3630QM
-12GB RAM
-32GB mSATA & 1TB 5400rpm HD
-2GB GeForce GT650M
-BD-ROM
-Killer Wireless-N
-and all default stuffs

I dont want to wait too long coz I need it to use it (other than for gaming)...just wanna know if it's worth it to buy now (these few days)...thanks!

hehe, i also want to sell my 5 month old m14x r2.. see the spec in my siggy..i can give lower price than the dell price smile.gif pm me if interested

Perhaps I should give them a call tomorrow.
Any tips on getting free gifts? I really like the Vindicator Bagpack and it costs RM219 if I'm not mistaken.
Wonder if Dell still sells the old stock. Price would be interesting laugh.gif

Sure price higher..because of the awesome design tongue.gif
