QUOTE(BrokenOne @ Jul 4 2013, 04:13 PM) I don't think it would take two months.. maybe 1month plus a lil.. That is only ETA for the build and ready to ship out , not include delivery to your house on that datecause when I ordered on 24/6 they estimated 17/7.. Also theres a problem this time round , they place a warranty sticker on the hardrives meaning cannot upgrade to SSD by yourself unless a dell repsentive or offical reseller do it with the permission That is pretty fail to me I was going to buy a 960GB SSD and place inside myself. Someone please confirm whether upgrade SSD by owner will not void warranty seal because i ask the customer support , 3 staff say the same thing |

QUOTE(joshuachew @ Jul 5 2013, 01:19 PM) That's damn fail to me. I am using the M17x and you can see the SSD's that I am running on. I don't have it in my system yet but I will have them installed soon. So yea. People buy Alienware cause it can be upgraded. If Dell is talking thy route, they'll lose a lot of crowd. But the problem lies only after you bought it and upgrade yourself If the ssd is configured on the dell website then there is no problem but the lame issue is malaysia/singapore alienware does not offer good SSDs in their config page They only offer a 64GB mSATA which is crap and overpriced. |

QUOTE(Jayi @ Jul 5 2013, 10:17 PM) The new alienware 14 only have new deisgn in the exterior but the the internal and screws etc are the same as r2 which you need to take off the backpanel , the battery in order to access the partsThey made the notebook made out of aluminum this time but i do not see any improvement with " HEAT VS aluminum " more like a conductor of heat The only upgrade is they cut out 25% of the back panel and made it mesh to allow more airflow and blue led fan LOL This post has been edited by Xu3r: Jul 5 2013, 11:34 PM |

hello anyone bought the new 14 or 17 alienware notebook ?
Have you upgrade the drives without problem and easy ? Is there a warranty void sticker paste on it ? please reply because i want to buy from them , they have installment 0% interest I was going to buy from custom pc notebook builder Illegear but their storage/ram and screen upgrades are overpriced + no installment with citibank and have 4% interest with maybank which is a lot |
