QUOTE(n3rd3y3 @ Jul 16 2013, 06:08 PM) Hey, did anyone who experienced throttling due to temp tried EVGA Precision X yet? some users in notebookreview is saying that it can bypass dell throttle limit. i do aware of that, however due to my room air conditioning my temp will never reach limit hence will never throttle...but do you know how to do it? |

It seems like they just downloaded the EVGA Precision X thing and not installing the rivatuner (which come with it apparently). Then proceed with setting the temp limit to whatever you like.but do you know how to do it? For more details. you can start read up from this link. If no dell solution when I received my alienware, i'll be trying this. LINK |

LINK Actually the best solution is maintaining a cold environment for your laptop because if you change the limit also it will shorten your 5k machine which is a waste..... yup. electronic temp is inversely proportional to lifetime
That being said, I dont think I'll be in airconditioned room at all during my gaming session |

QUOTE(n3rd3y3 @ Jul 16 2013, 11:16 PM) Nice. hopefully dell gets its own solution w/o third party app. yeah man. if we need throttling or need better battery life....we would have gotten an Ultrabook! Alienware does not need any throttling QUOTE(whyteaz @ Jul 16 2013, 11:23 PM) yep |
