SS2 isnt happening at all. compare to up town, kota damansara, subang jaya and sunway area.
some of the shop you only see old folks (no offense) around there, young people prefer shopping complex and other comm area.
*
malls oni open til 10pm. so traditional shops still got biz after midnigh as msian like to stay til late . now mcd, kfc etc prefer to rent shop lot not mall coz they can operate 24hrs.

kl need more f&b, bar, ktv, spa, gaming, entertainment outlets and be more biz frenly. too bad we r in muslim country so cant go too far like bangkok, shanghai.
i recalled when UE3 can operate disco, bar, ktv, snooker, gaming til early morning, the place is so wong.. cant even get a car park nearby...all the nearby food court, mamak store, saloon got so many people..but after gov close them; the place become so dead. same as life centre, desa petaling, pandan indah /perdana, kuchai enterpreneur park, danau desa, damansara utama/jaya etc... (all dead)..nowaday so many operasi raid here raid there, how to do biz?? we know they all hv no licence but who wan to operate illegal?? i think they did apply but gov dun approved (muslim country mah). look at singapore, the gov can allow bar operate til morning if u got customers n sustainable, jsut pay extra licence fee etc.. but they dun hv the night crowd like KL.. after 11pm, the town is so quite..

ss2 has alot of massage parlour, if operasi too often , they all will close shop. personally i dun think they hv no biz. i been there many times and the biz is very good til 1am.

i do hope that our gov can be more relax, cut down operasi, road block etc n more biz frenly.

luckily msia police still not so strict on roadblock, can kaotim by $..
too bad now they raid bar n ktv very often..mainly target the GRO from china, viet, thai etc..so less gals working now..really potong stim...
they shud allow this foreigner GRO to work legally in bar, ktv, disco etc, give them work permit like other foreign labours/maid.. (singapore did that)
so day time we hv males labour/maid working , night time we hv pretty female GRO to work in night outlets , haha..

if like that , i think all shop lots can prosperous n booming...this will benefits all biz...

SS2 needs a rejuvenation plan. The old shops need to be upgraded. The rising rental have to attract better quality but expensive tenants.

Unfortunately, SS2 demographics and purchasing power cannot catch up. Those richer youth would prefer go to Jaya One. SS2 mainly the elderly ones who definitely cannot afford cafe outlets. Even SSTwo Mall is super dead place. Tropicana City Mall is not doing well too.

Similarly in Damansara Uptown and even Damansara Jaya area. The old shops are starting to fight survivor, new businesses especially food open and close. Uptown is starting to see some trendy coffee place but luckily it has a huge working crowd there to survive, unlike SS2.

I don't think SS2 residents would agree to all the vice outlets - pokies, massage, pubs/bar, karaoke, nightclub like YES (haha), etc.
actually shops better to have 2 types of crowd; day and night lah.

KL has too many shops that oni wong in day time but dead in night time. this is not good to the econ. look at Bangkok, HK, Japan, Shanghai, New york etc these cities are so vibrant during day n nite. (surprising Sg is so dead at night)

Anyway, i like Bkt Bintang area, so busy day and night. we need more areas like bkt bintang.
when i invest in shops i will look at the nite crowd too..
