this is also LYN's first ever official tire bulk thread



Tires for V1 all arrived, pending bulk members who paid deposit for collection
DEADLINE of bulk is within tentatively late august (if we have enough confirmed orders with deposits paid we will proceed quicker, else latest also no longer than tentatively early September)
ARRIVAL of tires will be within tentatively Late October, latest also within tentatively Early November.


Package includes: Tires, fitting/balancing are included free.

Price (in Malaysian Ringgit): for popular sizes at the moment, odd sizes chances are won't be brought in by supplier, and even if they do the price is pretty scary
will need to make payment of 30% Deposit of total price (all tires that you are confirmed to purchase) to the shop
If by any means we are unable to fulfill the order, full refund will be issued.
However if deposit is paid and you do not wish to proceed on the purchase, refund of deposit will not be provided.
do understand that these are expensive tires and FFK will be of considerable loss to myself/shop.

20 pieces minimum (also MOQ) within the bulk will enjoy discounts between 5-7%
UPDATE: Supplier is no longer able to provide the attractive pricing of V1 due to certain circumstances, so there will be a slight increase of RM5 (RM10 for 17"/18") per piece of tires. Additionally there will no longer be a further price reduction if we manage to bulk 40 pieces of tires.

This is very unfortunate news and I am unable to disclose on full details (you may further discuss regarding this in person with either myself or Kent nestum ). Rest assured V1 members who paid deposit for their tires will not have their price altered upon collection and if the previous pricing becomes available again (or even lower than before) I would not hesitate to share as i am doing this to benefit our motor sports community and not profiting from this AT ALL (same goes to Kent, he could've earn much more selling at regular prices mind you)

note: prices i have mentioned in this thread/the discussion thread at tire talk sub-forum are of single set of 4 sales that i have enquired and does not reflect the original RRP that distributors/supplier established, bulk price (and it's % of discounts) will be based upon RRP and it is still much cheaper than the price that was quoted before.

do take note that nestum will do his best in assisting in tire warranty claim, however the final decision is up to the distributor/supplier's discretion.

Dealing method: COD, may use credit card at the shop
postage is available, however full payment must be made (upon tires arrival) prior to sending out your tires (and rims if you opt to include them, can confirm with nestum on that)
buyers also must bear additional shipping fees

that's a rough estimation, if bulk closes early, everyone pays their deposit early, then chances are we can get it as early as mid/late june

as i believe most of you are eager on your new tires, as well as supplier already pushing Kent to place orders in addition that we've easily met the MOQ, i believe it's a good move to push the closing earlier hence i request that you guys make a trip to Kent's shop (kean lee hin) and pay the 30% deposit to finalize the order (receipt will be issued)

As soon as everyone in the bulk completes their deposit the bulk will be closed and the order will be submitted to the Tire supplier and the wait begins until the tire arrival

yes, i've just double confirmed with Kent again. It's surprisingly more expensive than 17" due to it's rare size. Perhaps can consider more common 16" sizes or even just upsize to 17" anyways?

Yeah. 225/45/16 tends to be quite expensive as compared to other 16". The next best thing for (i'm assuming) a Fiat Coupe would be a 205/50/16. Which is also not so normal, but more common than the 225s. Upsizing for these folks are difficult due to lack of rim choices (4x98 with spokes that need to clear the big ass Brembos)

Which size is better.. 195/55 or 195/50 ad08r?

depends on your car/wheels

Just piece of junk rebadge from toyota passo with toyota Bb engine. And some 15" classic design wheel manufactured by enkei.

not that i'm familiar with older toyota, does 195/55 tires have fender rubbing issue? if not maybe you can consider these instead since it is slightly cheaper.

however, if you don't care about comfort (not that 5 profile would make a lot of difference, and you're probably not gonna care about comfort driving on these tires) with thinner profile tires, you could go with the 195/50 instead for much better handling/road feedback

if you used 55 profile before and no fender rubbing issues, it should be fine

no exact date, as per first post, should be within end of july, latest also first week august.

however as we closed/ordered early, possibility of them arriving late june/early july is quite good as well. will update the moment the tires reach kent's shop
