In one hand, you have the chance to get free 18 SHT from catalogue reward. On the other hand, you need to grind your way to level 40 to reach Ocean Map. That probably going to take a whole month to do.
But for me, its always better to have secondary ID as storage or backup.

let me briefly explan to you..

This Rm688 comes only if u subscribe to 5G data plan at rm75.. for 2 years

So it's basically RM 688 + [ Rm 75 x 24 x 1.06 (gov s.tax) = 1908] = RM 2596.
With this u have an ipad mini + 2 years 5GB of data plan to use.

If u buy outside at RM 1399 + [ RM 38 x 24 x 1.06 (gov s.tax) = 967] = RM 2366.
The RM38 is maxis plans for 3 GB. Which i believe la, more than enuf for ipad mini.
As when u r at home, got unifi. Outside use of only 3GB is sufficient.
And if 3GB is not enuf for your usage, chances is 5GB won't be enuf also.
So the way i see it, 3GB or 5GB same for heavy user - Insufficient.

So u can actually see that, it's really a stupid deal to take it..
I meant u r tied up with them for 2 years plus u pay more for stuff u don't need.

And beside, i use the max retail price of RM1399 for the ipad. Which i believe u can find it cheaper outside like RM 1300~1350 (new set)
