Just went back from Hong Kong, best place to buy sneakers were at Tung Chung or exactly City Gate Outlet. You can go there by bus from the airport which costs 3.5 HKD. Don't ever using MTR line from airport to Tsing Yi and then to Tung Chung because it causes you 60 HKD. My bad....hehe

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Aug 3 2015, 01:08 PM) Anyone try below regarding currency exchange: Hong Kong pegged its currency to the U.S. dollar in 1983 when negotiations between China and the U.K. over the city’s return to Chinese rule spurred capital outflows. In 2005, policy makers committed to limiting the currency’s decline to HK$7.85 per dollar and capping gains at HK$7.75.1) MYR --> HKD 2) MYR --> USD --> HKD Is it advisable exchange to USD first and change to HKD from airport or Hong Kong ?? |

Or can i get anything similiar from the HK airport? If u check and go in the wiyo, u will find that is actually RM35/day for 4G and RM30 for 3G 3 days 3G = RM90 + RM200 (rental deposit) = RM290 comes with limitation of 500MB/day SOS for 500MB/day If u interested, get a SIM Card in HKIA only HKD88 (~RM44) 5 days validity and preloaded credit to call home... Tourist Sim Card Or else, use their free wifi... Free wifi is like almost everywhere... download their apps and use it! Free WiFi |

Smart decision or not, depends on individual. But that is the cheapest option.Depends on time of the day and weekday/weekend. Also any special occasion, road closure, etc. Rough estimate 1 hour journey. Octopus card, yes. |

Mate i would suggest not taking bus in HK. You'll save a few bucks but bus is alot slower than mtr and HK bus is alot bumpier than ours (maybe it is my problem). |
