Guys, I went to Samsung because motherboard rosak. When I went I completely forgot to reset the flash counter for warranty.

Do they record this? I managed to reset the flash counter already and planning to go back tmr but i scared they recorded edi and say i already flash before.

how do you reset the counter when the motherboard is rosak? rclxub.gif

It's not 100% rosak. It just "coughs", lags and then goes into a restarting frenzy. I have to do everything in between the random reboots. Most stressful time ever.

if soft brick (50% rosak) then hopefully the didn't check counter, if 100% ko then you are safe  biggrin.gif

They saw the counter. The person at the counter showed me. I'm just wondering they didnt record it so that if i bring it tomorrow can act like it never happened and go for warranty. cry.gif rm700 liao just because i forgot to reset the counter

They showed you the counter and refused to do any repairs?  They do record each service, but not sure about your case since nothing was done.  You should try another SC.  Last time I brought one unit for flashing firmware, then the other day brought another unit to claim warranty for charger.  They asked me, "Eh you brought your phone here before, right?  You've picked it up already?"
Get those eBay ones, a few ringgit for 3.  But need to wait like 10 days for delivery.

They didnt refuse but they gave me option to fix with the rm700 charge. Thanks for the reply. I guess I still have a chance tomorrow. which SC you go to? I went in subang one so I think it's safer to go elsewhere.

I went to 1Utama one.  Very slow wait.  But at least you can shop around.
You bought new set and it was registered?  Maybe someone wanted to buy it but after the vendor registered, the buyer changed his mind.  Last time I bought my Galaxy Ace, realized it was registered a week before (the seller sunnychai said it's new set, ban his shop already).  But as long as it's registered, it doesn't matter, SC only checks for registration status and period and doesn't care about owner, unlike HTC.
How much now?  RM1200 new?

Wow thanks! I didnt know there was one in 1U. Ok here goes, will update with proress unsure.gif

I think 4 cores is ideal. Seriously what are we going to do with 8 cores? What's the heaviest app you use?

Screen size is big enough on the S3 and stretching your hand to read the top of the notification bar is a pain sometimes and what more with the S4? Air gestures are very redundant and slow. You actually have to wait for the sensor to detect your hand movement and it IS NOTICEABLE. Would you really scroll a web browser with your eyes when your thumb is right there?

Only thing i can think of on the S4 that's tempting is the 13MP cam. Unless you are upgrading from S2 then I think S4 wont be worth it. Don't forget about the bloatware.

Correction. It is not "8" cores (although physically there are), but 2 sets of 4 cores. You are still using 4 cores at any one time. One set is low power, good enough performance for regular use and one set is high power, high performance for gaming or other heavy duty use. The hardware performs the switching which is invisible to the user.

This has been posted from February already when Samsung announced the Octa core marketecture.

Why the ang-mohs lust after Octa is due to the higher performance of the high power cores as compared to the S600 cores which they are getting.

hi, guys..
im new user of Samsung Galaxy S3...
Just my curiosity
What is the custom rom and kernel u all using?
want to know that which one is better and having good performance...
and of course dose not have any bugs or problems after flashing them
thanks  smile.gif

most roms will have some sort of prblem one way or the other. so much headache looking for the correct one to suit lifestyle also rclxub.gif

for minimal headache keep stock and spend a few RM to get nova launcher. it gets rid of the choppy touchwiz and everything is definitely faster. my battery life around 2 days now.
