you can update via ota..but i didnt have any lag, and the battery is quite good for my usage, so no problem for me

thats all i guess..and dont forget about the yellow tint with lowest brightness settings

my s3 failed again yesterday evening...endless bootloop..tried to enter recovery and download mode..1 sec success then the phone rebooted again... i guess i'll just send it to sc then...1 month plus left on the warranty...this will be the 2nd time sending my s3..1st time because of the sudden death issue..lol

Mine is also 1.4 and insane but no problem so far. As pointed last night, so far no sds being reported by 1.4 user in this forum. Dont worry

The software is not reliable at all ..juz use ur phone and when sudden deaths, claim warranty ..no point worry so much

It must be an old stock as mine was 1.5 with "sane chip", i believe new batch should be 1.5 atm. Don't put the "insane chip" thingy in your mind that much, just enjoy your new phone. Maybe a few months you may think of upgrading it to S4 since it's soo....drooling.

well I hate why the "Media" apps is showing 2nd most in setting > battery
1st one always is screen, then follow by media

I already use titanium backup freeze following apps
1. DRM Protected Content Storage
2. Downloads (got a arrow down icon, not android robot icon)
3. com.sec.android.providers.downloads

but sometimes still pop out, force me go force stop, if not the phone battery drain a lot and phone become very warm
how to solve it ?

So basically the s3 sudden death is caused by internal SD i/o error which is hardware... update patches only ...probably...do less i/o process to prolong the usage till 1 year warranty finish ?
