i just bought a fake china Galaxy S3 with a price of RM1050.
damn that guy cheat on me and switch off his phone.

inside it is running on JB 4.1.1 with playstore installed.
looks like original S3, the only difference is the welcoming screen when it boot up. the rest is almost 99& same as original. even the smoothness is also same.

now i am thinking is there any good thing i can do with this phone?

I've seen lot of conman cases in Lowyat Dispute Thread and what i know is police wont take action regardless of how much losses were reported. Thats why i dont plan to make police report anyway.

The model is Samsung S3 i9300 16GB.
I m quite suprised when i know its fake because the fludity and smoothness is almost similar like original.
I noticed it was fake is after i reset the phone to original setting and there is "welcome" logo appear instead of "samsung" logo. Before restore, it was "samsung" logo. Maybe the seller rooted the phone with custom ROM.
BUt is it possible to root china phone?

hmm. should i send my device to change the mobo then ? what reasons should i give to change the mobo ? my mobo ver is 1.1
over volting it can fry the mobo maybe ? 

I would expect it to come around 7k-9k tops. It should show SMDK 4x12 for the CPU and probably PowerVR531 for the GPU

While the phone would just automatically shut, almost everything failed to bring it back to life. A hard reset did work in some cases but those were limited

it does have 11++ GB memory but i google around, there is korean set comes with 16gb and 32gb model

Mine bought last year 1st day launch,  i charge overnight everyday eh...

one of my previous phone has it if i'm not mistaken.. don't remember which one...

but then even ninetology (i think black pearl 2) has this feature! why s3 doesn't have just tried and it doesn't work    might be better to charge overnight with the phone off but i need the alarm..

that one i need to wait for my $$ 1st. lol!
so far the 2 that i've listen fits my budget..

any higher, will have to wait for my next 'upgrade' haha

Guys, I just bought an SGS3 for my son. He complains that it sometimes switches itself off. Is this a common problem and is there any cure? Hardware or software? I'm still within the exchange window so I can do a 1-to-1 return if necessary.

The whole phone switches off and no casing was used. OS has been upgraded to the latest 4.1.2
