Retail hours are 10am - 10pm, maybe longer on weekends. I think you need to come at least half an hour earlier, and of course, cannot go back sharp at 10pm. Also not allowed to sit during working hours

Uniqlo is a company which is truly committed and dedicated to groom their employees, especially in grooming future Store Manager. What makes things interesting is that the company is placing great emphasis on Store Manager, they have this philosophy that in the retail business, the Store Manager acts as the frontliner of the business plays very important role in determining its ultimate success. They have a very good system on training and development, on top of that you might stand a chance to be sent to Japan for training, which is a good opportunity to have in life.
On top of that, it is an inspiring company with ambitious goals and vision. Its name is very much comparable to other clothing retail giants like Zara, H&M, Gap, even though they might have very different kind of market propositions and philosophy. To know more about the company, its essence, its culture, its history, and what direction that Uniqlo is heading towards, I would suggest you read up the books written by its Founder and CEO, Mr. Tadashi Yanai. Hopefully my humble sharing can shed some light for those who are interested in knowing and joining Uniqlo. This post has been edited by Win Win Inspiration: Jul 31 2013, 08:12 PM |

3.8k is really an attractive salary. after 3 months, your salary will be increased to 4k. that haven't include transportation claims and car park claims. u even get trips to singapore and japan quite often.
PROS : - high pay of course, u get to be promoted to assistant manager very fast if you're good enough. and since uniqlo is expanding their business rapidly in malaysia, chances are high that u get to be a store manager and even area manager if u're super good! - if you are someone who is really into fashion and retailing then this is definitely the right job for u - 30% staff discount for all uniqlo products CONS - long working hours, and once after probabtion, chances are very slim that you can get off days on weekends; which is kind of lifeless as you can't date or hangout with friends on weekdays most of the times - the job routine might not be what you want especially if you're a graduate from courses like accounting, finance or science can PM me for more info cuz i have a very close friend working in this program right now. so i know in and out what this program is about. |

QUOTE(quentinqid @ Jul 31 2013, 07:22 PM) I think you have to be young and very good-looking to be considered, just check out their staff at the store! Many of them could be models. It's all about image when it comes to fashion retail regardless of what they say in the job ads. |

I am an ACCA graduate, though left with one paper. Fyi I did not attach a photo on my resume as I only found out about it very near to their closing date, I rushed my resume and decided not to put on photo as ppl said a bad photo is worse than none.. the day after the closing date only I notice the period is renewed for another one month... lol...Can I resent a complete one to them? |
