just want to ask, i have a Benefit brand face scrub, bought it for quite some time already, and i use it when i feel like using it. (didnt use it like twice a week, maybe 1 month once).

today i have decided to use it again, once i open the cap, omg it smells aweful!! really like rotten foood.

this product is expensive.. so should i continue using it.. or throw it..? sweat.gif

The risk of u using it may cause contact dermatitis.

Better throw. Foul smell means something gone wrong.

Cosmetics are super expensive. The lady who does my facials gave me some great tips: All cosmetics have a Use By Date. Things like scrubs and masks last a very long time, and often the expiry date rubs away over time. I put a sticker on the lid with the date written on it.

The other thing we forget is that the best storage temperature for cosmetics is below 25degC. If the room where you store your cosmetics gets hotter than this, you can keep it in the door of your fridge.

Hope this saves you some money in future smile.gif

Of course throw it...! Good skincare products tend to have little or close to zero preservatives, which is better for your skin. On the downside, it may not last as long as those cheaper counter products, thus a shorter expiry date. Which is why, when you buy something good and expensive, use it la... Don't just put it there.
