For Friends fans, I found that klodsland.dk is selling a couple of sets for interesting price.
http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=holze

City Park Café RM86
Heartlake Pet salon RM57
Olivia house rm138

Shipping about RM215

total RM281+215 + 5% ~ RM525 for the three sets with insured shipping. Retail price at TRU about RM660 iianm.

I checked the store... wow, the quantities of sets they have seem to be more than the entire stock in the Klang Valley sweat.gif They even have more than 1000 sets for Friends shocking.gif It's like a TRU online.
Super dooper price for Olivia's house! The sets here costs RM 399, no thanks to our local distro for overpricing it. vmad.gif

If you keep hiding your UCS collection from wife pretty soon you run out of desk space in your office! lol!

Don't want to keep everyone waiting in suspense for the price of 10240. I'm waiting confirmation on the shipping weight but here's my guesstimate:

10240 Red Five X-Wing Starfighter ~RM950-1000 this is including shipping + tax

I don't think there will be a limit on how many I can order, it's just a matter of whether supply is enough to cope with demand... Seeing that everyone is so low on ammo these days (including yours truly) I doubt many will join this bulk order.

Its RRP is $199.99 at Lego Shop Online USA and available from 4th May.

My supplier claims he is getting his on 2nd May. I'm targeting this bulk order to be the first lot of UCS X-Wing to reach Malaysia so some of us gets to have the bragging rights! brows.gif

I told myself not to buy any Lego this month, mana tau this month I got 2 big expensive sets plus 1 classic town set coming. Last month same thing, bought the palace cinema and maersk train and the victory raceway classic town set.

Next month I told myself t not buy Lego and reload. Looks like it is going to be a problem again! cry.gif

Very true! So much poison pictures here! Last time it was not as bad as now since you can look, but buying those sets is another story. Now not only got poison pictures but also the source to buy the Lego is only a click away!

Really tempted to buy series 10 from BL. But read somewhefe that distribution inside each box(box of 60) really wierd, so will end up having too much of same fig.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

This show how much ALJ profit from each pack.  Price for each pack only rm7.50. Even after include postage from german to malaysia.  No risk of custom tax because item is less rm500.

Price for 60px is only euro100±postage euro11= euro111, equivalent to rm449  (@4.029 maybank selling rate
*
Actually, I think ALJ do kena tax, since they don't buy 1 or 2 boxes but a whole pallet of CMFs which costs thousands of RM. Then have to distribute the CMFs to all retailers out there. Then again if buying a pallet the cost price is significantly lower.... doh.gif

may i know whats price yougot for maersk train n victory raceway?

QUOTE(scoop7 @ Apr 18 2013, 03:57 PM)
yeah..
paanjang16 what's the price for Maersk train
*
Maersk train RM 750 if I recall... cannot remember the exact sum I paid.

The Victory raceway was RM 530, bought from Amcorp.

QUOTE(Lego_Jason @ Apr 18 2013, 08:25 PM)
Well, that was just a preliminary estimate to frighten everyone. shocking.gif lol!  I didn't have the actual weight this morning and I assumed it would be heavier than 10227 B-Wing due to it being more expensive. The B-Wing is 2.8Kg so I assumed the 10240 X-Wing to be at 3Kg.

With that assumption I could only fit 5 sets of 10240 X-Wing into the shipping box. (Max weight per shipping box is 16Kg)

Late this afternoon I received a reply from my supplier that the 10240 weight is 2.26Kg, meaning I can actually fit 7 sets into the shipping box not 5. rclxms.gif

So now I can work out a more accurate price for this 10240 X-Wing, and I'm posting it here for everyone to see:

Price for one set of 10240: 183 Euros
Price for one 16Kg shipping box: 106 Euros
Total price for 7 sets: (7 x 183) + 106 = 1387 Euros
Bank Transfer Charges: 25 Euros
Hence average price per set: (1387 + 25) / 7 = ~202 Euros

I use an exchange rate of 4, this is also risky for me. The bulk order I just paid this week the bank gave me a rate of 4.03. I know our phone app XE Currency gives a rate of 3.96 but I pay what the bank states.

So converting back to Ringgit: 4 x 202 = RM808 (this is the cost inclusive of shipping right up to the point of reaching customs KLIA)

Our friendly customs officer will slap 10% tax: RM808 + 10% = RM889

Pos Malaysia charges RM49.80 for custom clearance. I forgot how much my bank charges me for bank transfer. Yeah, I have to cover both countries' bank transfer charges.

So let's just assume I round it up to RM900 to cover for the miscellaneous charges this will be the cost of importing the 10240 X-Wing to Malaysia right up to the time of collection at Pos Laju.

I mark up another RM30 for my troubles and the bulk order price becomes RM930. Honestly RM30 is not much of a cushion in the event of any surprises but this is the formula I use for CS/Bulk orders. (mark RM10 for small sets and RM30 for big sets)

This morning I put up a higher figure because it was based on the assumption that it is heavier than B-Wing and I always operate on the basis of "quoting high and adjust low" rather than "quoting low and adjust high" later. So I just announce RM950-1000 with the intention and hope that I can adjust it lower pending confirmation of the actual weight. I have been importing Lego for myself for several years now and have long accepted that it is not worth my time to make this into a business. I stumbled across this forum and thought of giving everyone a hand, it was never my intention to compete with the sellers here.

I know what CS means but let's be honest, I'll be taking a big risk to sell it just at cost. Cutting it too thin and risk losing money in the process... Community service yes but not charity...

My apologies if I offended anyone with the above statements or if it is against the rules to post such things. I'm in a bloody foul mood today and I just want to vent and I'm sorry it has to be here in this forum. As I am writing this I have already cooled down and have thought of not posting the above but I thought what the heck, I wrote so much and I'm not going to just delete it! doh.gif

Sir Alby, I'm not directing my anger at you. I just want to be open and avoid any misunderstandings. With your jalan you can definitely get it cheaper in the USA. Everyone knows the price and have their own lubang to source for Lego, I don't see any point in competing with establish sellers here. Peace! icon_rolleyes.gif

So.... is the X-Wing coming? laugh.gif Really made my heart race during lunch time when I saw your post. I pulled the trigger when I had the chance to buy the Palace Cinema in late Feb, so I was considering the rest of the day if I should pull the trigger for this UCS, making it my first Star Wars UCS.

To me the price although it is on the high side it is what to expect for super dooper early adopters. If I want it cheap I will wait, if I want to get it before everyone else like the Palace Cinema I will pull the trigger to get it.

Same like PS3, Xbox 360, Iphones, the price is always high at the very beginning, so it is expected for me.

Wow  - 25 pages already? Just got back from 1U (yeah, I know, it's like my 2nd home) and as usual, stopped by the 2 usual spots where they normally have the most LEGO.

TRU - restocks aplenty. If anyone knows the layout for 1U TRU, one side of the shelf is now all mostly the licensed sets. Saw restocks for some Superhero sets like Spider-man, Arctic Batman and The Bat Vs Tumbler sets. Probably some Star Wars too but I wasn't really paying attention.

I walked over to the other side and it's mostly the City sets now, placed alongside some KREOs. But quite a large selection.

I thought nothing really interesting so proceed towards the exit when from the corner of my eye, I spotted these!

Was surprised to see them at TRU.

Some new stock at AEON too but the glass case was shared with Furby so they placed some LEGO on top of the shelf as well. Nothing much to report here.
*
Why are they all hiding in at little corner? rclxub.gif By right all of them shall be out in the open getting everyone's attention.

But it is a really big surprise to see such exclusive sets in TRU of all places.

I think we are moving much faster than the TF and HW threads at the moment, plus we are not even spamming! Must be due to the discussion about the crazy hauls people make for this hobby and some space superiority fighter from a galaxy far far away. whistling.gif

I've passed by uncle lego's stall at amcorp once before. I wonder how much Amcorp charges to setup a stall there. Can't be cheap so no wonder his prices are higher. I guess his target market must be different, those consumers who like to see and touch the products before buying.  brows.gif
*
Uncle Seat sells those classic Lego sets such as the classic town, space sets etc. I bought my M-tron Megacore Magnetizer, Pier Police, Victory Raceway from uncle. So ya, his target market is different from the rest of us.

QUOTE(faish888 @ Apr 19 2013, 06:54 PM)
Wow looks like lots of ppl here now considering setting up stall at Amcorp. Should join forces and setup a stall there and provide big-time community service to the poor unsuspecting public by selling Lego cheap cheap, take pre-orders and do more bulk orders to satisfy everyone's hunger for Lego.  Who's in?  thumbup.gif
*
I think you have a huge untapped market there. I remember this Lego Lot Less seller on FB one time set up a stall in Subang Parade flea market. Since he was the only one there the sales they had was very good. More competition is good IMHO.

I bought my CMF Series 7 from him. Good seller and very reasonable shipping but I suppose if you buy Mr. Gold you will want all sorts of insurance cover! lol!
Sharing is caring bro!! nod.gif  thumbup.gif  tongue.gif

Btw, before I continue with more poison, can anyone help confirm this? Another forumer and I would like to know if the track from the train sets are compatible with that from 6857 Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape? I know I've asked this before but would like to put it to rest once and for all... Below is a picture of the regular train track, the track width is 4cm. Can someone help check the track width of the tracks in 6857 please? Thank you! notworthy.gif

[attachmentid=3406525]

The gauge of the track is different. The one in the Batman set is for those mine cart tracks with sharp turns and steep climbs and falls.

I provide hints only...

1) Also posted in BOM in FB
2) Work at Affiliated Computer Services ( ON Semiconductor and Motorola )
3) Studied at Monash University
4) from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
5) Married to a woman named "Sheryl Tan"

After looking at BOM, I think I know who this guy is.... but I do agree the last one is a little bit too personal sweat.gif

So many people spamming train sets here. The only train set which I have with the track and motorized is this old model 7898. This was a time before Power Functions. Instead it uses this huge motorized chasis for the locomotive.

Even then Lego had this modular build where you build each section separately.

The thing about train sets is how big the track are! It almost filled up the open area in my old room then. Definitely need a big table to display the train set.

Here's some updates on sets to be discontinued or already discontinued courtesy of my supplier:

June 2013: Monster Fighters, City Space, Creator sets 5766 & 5891, 1st series of Chima Speedorz, LOTR 9469 & 9472.

December 2013: 10197 Fire Brigade & 10227 B-Wing Starfighter

Recently discontinued: 3677 Red Cargo Train & 7965 Millennium Falcon

Hope this will help you to plan/expedite your Lego purchases! icon_idea.gif
*
I have not seen much of the Red Cargo Train. It is as if the red cargo train is some exclusive sets which is not carried by normal retailers. Funny to see it discontinued before it even show up here. Atleast the B-wing showed up in LLM, but I find it baffling that it too will be discontinued so soon. Must be due to the terrible sales of the B-wing. Maybe it is an indication to get a B-Wing since it will be discontinued? laugh.gif

Then the EOL of Monster Fighters. No surprise there since it had a good run. But our local distro really screw up the supply of the haunted house here. I did managed to get a HH, but it was one long wait for it to arrive here. Has it appeared in LLM even?

dont forget to pair it with this maersk truck

I have the ship. Quite long, but the scale is very off when placed next to the train set, since I believe the ship is based on micro-scale instead of minifigure scale. But the sheer number of maersk blue parts are excellent!
Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

I also have the Maersk truck too, but even that is not to scale with the train since the train's kontena's are so big doh.gif
