Hello sis! You've been quiet lately, what took you so long to catch up? yawn.gif

No fighting la! Just me venting because I had a bad day... Already deleted the post. icon_rolleyes.gif

You should send a shopping list to your mum and sis Down Under, that way they can hunt for your sets when they are on sale! Regular prices are expensive but during sales season (which is now) there are plenty of good deals to have. wink.gif
I can only drool!! drool.gif  notworthy.gif
I also recently got poisoned by Diagon Alley, now regret not picking it up when it was going cheap... doh.gif  I'm not into Harry Potter so if I can find a set without minifigs cheaply I think I'll pull the trigger...
This set never fails to impress! Congrats!! rclxms.gif
I think this is where we as a community should pool our resources together and help each other complete the series. I'm planning on bringing in a few boxes of 60 so if everyone who has ordered boxes of this we could setup a thread purely for trading/exchanging the series 10 minfigs. Mr. Gold is not up for trade if we do find it! whistling.gif

Good to see you back contributing to the thread. Always love to read your sharing and caring with rest of us. Let's move on.... thumbup.gif

if i got excess i maybe go open stall at amcorp next to uncle lego scalper and sell for 1/3 the price. (probably still make money).
dont think its a "maybe"
QUOTE(Mr. Alby @ Apr 19 2013, 12:36 PM)
Do let us know if you open a stall there... thumbup.gif
I still can't find a "reasonable" sets there. If loose minifigs kinda ok...
*
I've passed by uncle lego's stall at amcorp once before. I wonder how much Amcorp charges to setup a stall there. Can't be cheap so no wonder his prices are higher. I guess his target market must be different, those consumers who like to see and touch the products before buying. brows.gif

Wow this MOC of Ollivanders is even better than the original from Diagon Alley set. It's modular size looks great next to Green Grocer. I salute the MOC'er who deisgned this, takes a lot of dedication and effort. notworthy.gif

Thanks @mytique_nw for sharing the link. Must visit Mocpages more for inspiration.... biggrin.gif

Wah, TRU getting free publicity. You should charge them la! laugh.gif

Actually this is not such good news. In the past no one buy Lego from TRU and end up they have Lego Warehouse sale every year. Now no chance cos once stock arrives and put on the shelves, our roving reporters post photos and then all sapu within a matter of hours (not days)! rclxms.gif

I see 7879 has been re-stocked in all TRU's. That is a good set for investment as it's a TRU exclusive. But let's wait until TRU have warehouse sale then we rush to chiong, k? brows.gif

actually what is a fair price now for this set, since its new and all...
*
There is no so-called fair price when you want a product that is newly released and be among the first to be able to own it. There's increased hype and interest not to mention demand exceeding supply. It's like the Mr Gold bidding war on eBay.... but then if you are willing to pay for it, go fot it!

Uncle is selling them like RM25 and you sell RM9, for sure turn your table.

Wow looks like lots of ppl here now considering setting up stall at Amcorp. Should join forces and setup a stall there and provide big-time community service to the poor unsuspecting public by selling Lego cheap cheap, take pre-orders and do more bulk orders to satisfy everyone's hunger for Lego. Who's in? thumbup.gif

Looks like today's hot topic is opening stall at Amcorp to sell Lego. Perhaps someday in the future many of us will be there selling our Lego collections after retirement..... like our pioneer uncle lego smile.gif

Parkson Subang Parade has only a few unwanted Lego sets.... but lots of other competing brands from China. I wonder if we will soon start seeing more of these sets in places like TRU, Brickboy, etc....

Just tried myself too and no luck. Must be either Lego close down or server overloaded as too many people ordering Lone Ranger and UCS X-wing sets! unsure.gif

Any idea how to check the lego is fake or not ?
*
Almost every Lego piece (including minifigures) have the word LEGO printed on it. Bricks of other brands like Megablock and Kreo don't. Sometimes I need to use magnifying glass to see. Yah, I'm old! smile.gif

Funny story about this - when I was trying to swap my minifig from the Shell promo polybag with the staff at LLM, they sometimes will look inspect the minifig closely to identify the LEGO printing to confirm it's a genuine Lego minifig. Either I look like a shady character or they've been duped by some folks swapping fake minifigures. laugh.gif

Their prices are at retail. Not sure if they sell the whole box. Better to order from brick link.

I'm trying to place an order myself. Anyone can recommend a store they've ordered series 10 from?

Told myself not to stay away from all the poison in this thread on weekend but very hard but very hard to resist urge to spam more. My weekend is for family and opening up new Lego sets to play. Yesterday we opened up Iron Man, Chima and Friends sets. Kids so excited esp. with Chima - the Speedorz sets are so much fun to play with! rclxm9.gif
