Intel based Macs :

Pros - Improved Graphic Card (only for MacBook Pro & Imac), Faster under "Universal" Applications, powerful and energy-efficient processor (less heat & quiet)( thats why MacBook Pro & Imac slightly thinner than their PowerBook G4 & Imac G5 counterparts), Intel based Macs able to run Window OS under Boot Camp (BC). BC (not compatible for G4 & G5 Macs) is free as compared to other emulation software like Virtual PC, Intel based mac is good investment for future especially when the next OSX Leopard will be optimised under Intel chips.

Cons - not all programs compatible with Intel processor yet, unable to run Classic Mode, for Intel Mac Mini it comes with "chiplang" graphic card. Unlike PowerBook G4, MacBook Pro doesnt support
the burning of double-layer DVD+R media (enabling them to write up to 8.5GB of content to a single disc)

Thanks Eithanius! I am absent-minded on the "Rosetta" emulation on x86 platform explanation. You are right that not all existing programs under PPC platform are able to run on the x86 platform" thumbup.gif
