haha.. my family of 3 really surferred badly...thinking that the Queen sized bed sufficient for 3 and did not expect the bed is only super gingle instead of queen..furthermore.. the room so narrow.. Well, they don't even mind number of ppl 
BTW TS, As others mentioned really depending on hotels.. Most of the time, the hotel don't really care but certain hotel esp those budget one as what I experienced in Jogja, Jakarta charged me for extra head count
. The best was the one I experienced in Australia.. They saw me coming in 3 and instead of charging us for extra person, upgraded us to triple beds room for FREE
