Hey,

I just got a 360 last month so i know how confusing all of this can be at first. Luckily i got some help from the people here smile.gif

First off, i visited this site a lot to understand the various ways to connect the 360 to the net.

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connectt...360/default.htm

So there're many ways to connect the 360 to the Net but the easiest and the one im using now is the direct to modem connection. Basically all u need is ur ADSL modem that TM gave u when u got streamyx. U hook ur internet phone line into the modem and connect the modem to ur 360 with the cable that comes with ur 360. That's all the hardware ur gonna need. A router would be nice too though.

Now comes LIVE. With ur xbox 360 comes a free 1-month trial to Xbox Live Gold which means that u can download (some) stuff for free online like game demos and trailers, communicate with other Live people and play ur games online.

So once you've connected to xbox live, and u create ur gamertag and activate ur account, then you will have 1 month to enjoy Live Gold for free. Once that one month ends , you can either continue subscribing ( pay using credit card or buy the subscription cards from Djinn and use those) or not. If you don't want to continue, you still can connect to Xbox Live Silver but you wont get to play games online because your Gold membership has expired.

But let me tell you that Live is really great la. I don't play online as much as i want to (im having my finals now) but i love the fact that you can download and try out the games before you buy them.

So there's a bit of info from me. Hope it helps thumbup.gif
