I've installed the required driver for my Xerox phaser network printer (it's a network printer, not a standalone printer) in my applec G3, but somehow I cant find the printer in mac OS 9.x, cant print either, cant open printer utility aswell.

I have an identical apple G3 connected to the same network printer and it works without a glitch.

what is the problem here?
