QUOTE(weileong @ Apr 24 2013, 10:33 PM) to be honest..I found my wife Lumia 820 Wifi is stronger anytime than my Lumia 920 Wifi even at same location...both unit on Post Portico 1308 firmware. Sigh...dunno is Lumia 920 weak point or unit hardware like iPhone5 which had similar weaker wifi problem. Hows the 820 ? Is it worth the difference in price vs L920 ? Hows the camera in 820 ? i like 720 design...but proc, screen & ram lower right? 820 is closest in terms of internal specs to 920

QUOTE(zachary22_77 @ Apr 25 2013, 10:06 AM) Hmmm.... never noticed this yet to be honest. My wife is using Lumia 820 & we seem to be getting similar signal strength for WiFi. Why is this a 'oh no for nokia fans'? Not that I support HTC but this is an issue with the supplier to be honest. Lumia 820 is actually worth it at it's current price now. The camera is passable, quite good in good lighting, but don't expect much from low light. Yes the 820 is identical internal specs wise to 920, except for the 8GB internal storage. That is the biggest mistake I think Nokia made on 820. The other downgrade is the screen resolution but the AMOLED screen is superb in terms of brightness! It clearly beats my 920 in that regard. Yes the 720 is lower spec internally, it's same spec internally with 620 & 520 which is sad honestly. I dont mind the internal space. 820 expandable by micro sd right ? How about the battery life? i heard bad things about the battery life... haha~

QUOTE(zachary22_77 @ Apr 25 2013, 10:28 AM) Yes expandable by micro sd but you have to remember the restrictions on micro sd. You can only install apps on internal storage so in the end, you're very limited to what you can install on 820. Install some games & all space gone already. Battery life wise I think it's pretty normal. My wife is a heavy call & sms user & it seems to last her through the day. She doesn't on data unless needed. Hehe... i doubt it will last for me. My current S3 which has decent battery life lasts about 8-9 hours only. Data+sync+apps...etc.. I think i read that you can install on SD card. I saw a link either in here or XDA. Just download the apps manually from the Windows store on PC. It will download as XAP.. then transfer the XAP on your microsd card. Load card on phone and you can install it there. If not mistaken this will install on the SD card itself. from reviews..S3 is still one of the top 5 camera.. 820 isnt in the list. Any new Win8 phones coming ?

QUOTE(zachary22_77 @ Apr 25 2013, 10:45 AM) Wow!! Your usage I think definitely will not last long on 820 also. Yes, you can download the apps from Windows Phone store, put it on SD card, then install from there. Unfortunately, it will install to internal storage. That's how WP is designed. Installed apps all reside on internal storage. Ya, 820 camera is definitely not as good as S3. New WP8 phones? We also all waiting here But safe to say something will be shown in the next few months. 920 is nice..but its bulky and heavy..im sure they can come out with a sleeker design that fits everything inside..its possible. hoping for a better WP8 device

QUOTE(zachary22_77 @ Apr 25 2013, 03:33 PM) Yes, that's Nokia's aim, to come out with a slimmer & lighter package, hence the switch back to alluminium. But still no concrete news, just a leaked photo which doesn't really look nice also. Not sure but from the looks of it no since this is actually a security thing, not a missing feature. If they figure it out probably it's WP9 already hehe. Hmmm is it Lumia 928 ? Or 928 only for US market ?

IMO windows phone scores well for standby battery life. I had a HTC Mozart (WP7) before. And the standby battery life was very good...% drop very slowly. The problem is i use it more than its on standby and battery drains quick with usage.

QUOTE(dotjolt @ May 8 2013, 12:13 AM) Good price bro. It's no surprise a lot of people under estimate the price of the L920. It is a superb phone indeed BUT it requires a different kind of appreciation compared to the likes of Android/iOS. Speaking of prices, who has bought the DC-16 (tube looking) portable charger from Nokia? I bought mine for RM130 and somehow I feel that I was ripped off. Is this the normal price? Whatt!! I got mine for RM45 because i nego with seller "since i bought your phone..sell me this cheaper la". i think you got ripped off..retail should be below RM100 i think since the seller can give me RM45 as discounted price. Bought at Nokia shop Sutera Mall JB.
