Breached 10k when i was 26 but that was heavily reliant on bonus. Same story for the next 2 years.
Only breached 10k on my base pay when I was 29 after changing jobs. Now comfortably above 10k
Congratz. Whats your industry and profession?Only breached 10k on my base pay when I was 29 after changing jobs. Now comfortably above 10k

Read this I was like terribly hurt.
Though I'm in so-called professional - engineering field, turning 34 yo soon but my pay still under 10k.
What was wrong here?
8 yrs in R&D industry, left as AM. Hopped to semicon industry as M, with nearly 20% increment, but still far less than 10k.
Am I underpaid?
No idea about semi con industry but heard it is really volatile industry 10 years ago, now with digital era i think its quite good right?Though I'm in so-called professional - engineering field, turning 34 yo soon but my pay still under 10k.

My friend around your age work as R&D manager at manufacturing industry is earning between 6~8K.
And his R&D HOD age 35~45 earning about >10K.
Another friend of mine who is quite fortunate, joined an Aviation service industry last year at age 30 and got big increment from 5K to 10K. But this year COVID hit hard he got salary cut 20%.
In conclusion very hard to achieve >10k less than 30 years old when working in manufacturing industry.
