Breached 10k when i was 26 but that was heavily reliant on bonus. Same story for the next 2 years.

Only breached 10k on my base pay when I was 29 after changing jobs. Now comfortably above 10k

Congratz. Whats your industry and profession?

Read this I was like terribly hurt.
Though I'm in so-called professional - engineering field, turning 34 yo soon but my pay still under 10k.
What was wrong here?

8 yrs in R&D industry, left as AM. Hopped to semicon industry as M, with nearly 20% increment, but still far less than 10k.

Am I underpaid?

No idea about semi con industry but heard it is really volatile industry 10 years ago, now with digital era i think its quite good right?
My friend around your age work as R&D manager at manufacturing industry is earning between 6~8K.
And his R&D HOD age 35~45 earning about >10K.
Another friend of mine who is quite fortunate, joined an Aviation service industry last year at age 30 and got big increment from 5K to 10K. But this year COVID hit hard he got salary cut 20%.

In conclusion very hard to achieve >10k less than 30 years old when working in manufacturing industry.

I'm sure a lot of people are doing this now. If they are, won't the grab and foodpanda rider pools be over-saturated?

Yea, I think demand is also higher now due to people afraid to eat out, so this might balance the situation a bit

don't give up guys~! getting 10k by around +- 30 yo is definitely achievable, just that this year we were struck by this covid19 and everyone would have also taken a hit, whether hit hard or not only.

my salary adj is only about 1.5% this year only, suck to the max too.

I achieve 10k when i turn 31, slightly off the target but well, it is still good, now that i'm also at your age, achieve higher already. just don't give up and hop when there's a good chance.
wanna get good salary by staying in the same company? not never heard of, but just very very lucky if you are one. hop when there's a chance to bump up your base pay.

It's possible, but hard. Just achieved this recently at 26. But to get here, a lot of sacrifices have been made.
