I'm currently building a simple pedalboard to house my pedals, after getting tired of carrying them seperately to gigs, but I'm having a problem of getting carpet now. Yes... carpet or cloth. I've searched SS2, Uptown and 1Utama and haven't come across to a shop that sells them. What I need is a thin carpet (Looks something like this http://www.eng.uwaterloo.ca/~sdkuehn/pedalboard/side320.jpg )that sticks well to the velcros & preferbly a shop that provides carpet gluing services (Carpet glue > Super glue tongue.gif ). I don't have much time to look for the stuff now, so do you guys know where to get the materials??? Any carpet shops in PJ area???

Thanks in advance & pics will come later. wink.gif thumbup.gif

Have you tried like one of those Non-Slip mats that they use in Bathrooms? I use them for my pedals and it works surprisingly well!!

Non-slip mats? How thick is it?? I have come across some mats just now but they are a little too thick imo.
Btw, my pedalboard's pretty big, I've left some allowance for additional stompboxes in the future wink.gif . It should be able to hold at least 8 Boss-type pedals if placed properly.

This is what you get when you have no money LOL!!!
Or you have lots of cash but not supposed to use them because they're reserved for other GAS issues. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif wink.gif

Seriously, I needed a large pedalboard and those available are too pricey.

Something like that.....

You can go to any home DIY shop and just look around..... and what I'm saying is that you don't even need velcro.... because it sticks to the pedals very well!!

How bout this?

the material can be used with velcro i think, havent tried. but i think it would work. the underside is made of rubber, and u can use dunlop glue to stick it to a board. They're quite cheap, around 4.90 pr pc. but im sure u can get it at any hardware store

That one, I think if you stomp the pedals around, it still move. Unless you glue the whole board with it but still got chance if you stomp hard, you pedal will be move around laugh.gif
It's dirt cheap of course...like 2 for less than 4 ringgit?

Just came back from Kamdar, found a carpet that actually sticks on velcro (Velvet ones don't work). It doesn't stick as well as I thought but I should worklar hah... now have to look for carpet/super glue to glue it on the pedalboard & it should be done! thumbup.gif

evo.com, don't worry, pics will come eventually. thumbup.gif

At the meantime, if you have a DIY pedalboard, why not post some pics here? thumbup.gif I remember echo has one made out of a drawer and chapree has a simple one for his bass rig. thumbup.gif
