Currently have go Perfect Living Fair survey. Suddenly see have Aluminum Gate. Normally we know have Stainless Steel, Wrought Iron & metal only.
Have anyone here have install aluminum gate before. I found this company have do aluminum gate.

I also not seen the actual product b4, but the 1st question across is, will it too soft? Maybe is harder then what i expect, not sure.

The salesman say actually aluminium have few grade. Normally we buy cans lowest grade one. This aluminium gate use better grade. Don't know how thick aluminium gate. Salesman have say keep the receipt also in future wanna change design can sell back to them 20% refund back.

How much? N what is yout gate openning?

That day he say if your main gate 10' width around rm2k+ exhibition price. I may call them ask quotation. I don't know aluminium quality ok or not. Worry easy broken. Kekekeke

For me aluminum gate is both light and strong and the most important thing is it is durable. If not why all airplane in this world use aluminium. Furthermore it won't rust so we can save on painting cost. Can ask them what would be the price for 16' gate?

if you can afford airplane grade, you won't worry about money.

I never said i wanted an airplane grade aluminium.

Nope, steel is stronger, but the strength/weight aluminum is much better. Wrought iron is not that as strong as carbon steel. for gate i'm looking those which are durable, light and strong. I dont need a super strong gate, useless.

RM2k+? I saw from their ad somewhere, it was like RM3388 or RM3888 for the yellowish gate with black leaves on bottom center.

Aluminum alloy depends on the content and quality it can be brittle. Not easy to weld back.

I did not consider aluminum during my selection, simply because is higher price, if i want to put auto gate arm I worry not many people know how to weld the bracket on the aluminum so my selection and price are limited.

And if normal steel gate can last >10 years why worry about forever? Change it after so many years of usages.

Steel also like that bro. Too much carbon will make it brittle. Too less will make it too soft.

Not only how long it will last. But the rust that bother me d most. My current steel gate, only 4 months of use i can already see rust here n there and when you accidentally touch them you can smell iron scent on your hand. Really dont like it. Maybe because it is fully exposed to the weather, making it rust faster. So now since i've plan to change to a bigger gate, i think i want to get aluminium gate. My house is equipped with cctv and alarm. So im not worry too much on break in. Furthermore i dont want to built a fortress anyway.

Normal Grill steel won't have high carbon. Unless precast cast iron for grill... which i doubt anyone in right mind will want to spend that much of money.

If like that its not that strong. Normal cutter can cut it without a sweat. My neighbour spent quite alot on his grill. I think it is a high carbon steel. Since he told me his grill is cut proof.

anyone know any fully aluminium main gate company beside csa?

Just curious, is T6 grade for aluminium consider good?

FYI, CSA gate using T6 Aluminium 6005 grade. Which can be structure use and can withstand 500kg impact

CSA is the first company fabricate Aluminium gate in Malaysia, and the first ever gate that did not need any welding.

A lot of house owners used aluminum gates in the early 80s.

The hinge area design important. alu is softer so the hinge part may break if poor design...

Unigate double the price n they will have picture y their competitor is inferior.

Csa finishing a bit bad. If my gate wasnt 22feet long would have opted for stainless steel. The cost of the heavy duty motor + 22 feet stainless steel was more expensive than the alu option...

Few times csa demo.. That lock thing didnt work.

Btw all of them use dcmoto.
Csa mod for the middle lock
Unigate mod for their three thingy armbar. They dont need track.
