Last time when car still new, I also guilty of not noticing the headlamps not on due to the same reason mentioned by unker eqmal. Coming from gaga and old Vios, needs some getting used to.

Try resetting your HU. Open your fusebox on the right side of the dashboard, look for the radio fuse, take it out then put it back in.
