Saw this in Best Buy selling for US400.
After experience with the gopro hero4 for more than a week (use daily for about 8hr), the main problem is the battery runout fast. Have to overcome with the powerbank charge frequently. I have 3pcs battery. Another is the memory card full. But I get another 2pcs 64gb to overcome the problem. Experience with memory full and miss the dramatic show. If this hero session cannot change battery, it is useless for me. |

QUOTE(J0$$ @ Jul 21 2015, 10:13 AM) @ozak Thanks J0$$.I am using GoPro 4 too. Just sharing my tips. Use less battery tips -Disable LED -When Recording disable back screen -Wifi mode sucks the juice of your battery Backup your sd card after every shot WD Passport Wireless HDD 1TB Portable Hard Drive -Already disable led -didn't buy the back screen (hero4 black) -disable wifi most of the time. Only use it when initial checking or photo taking. It is also a bit troublesome every time using iphone to connect. Today brought a remote control to overcome this problem. That hdd price is . Probably can get another 5pcs of 64gb SD card. Today looking at WD portable 2tb for rm340. Still haven't decide. |

QUOTE(jjgoh @ Jul 22 2015, 11:39 PM) hey guys , newbie here , currently flying professional drones , thinking of putting nex7 , but i saw the quality is not that good compare to gopro black , Yup, hero black is good. The superview is perfect for area shot. Plenty of feature to shot. need some really true review from user for gopro black . do you think its worth for the price ? tq how about picture ? mostly take picture. and video for aerial shots. tq For price, a bit higher. If compare to good quality camera or camcorder. |

QUOTE(Sawamura @ Jul 29 2015, 04:22 PM) thats exactly what i worry.. that blinking indicator.. this one will catch their attention.. U.S. is very strict on security. Even taken picture inside a tunnel will consider as terrorist threat. read a story from a guy in US, his gopro confiscated by the officer because he record it It might happen here too, especially if you are unlucky and deal with a I dont want this to happen.. not on my vacation day Thats the risk not worth taking nevermind then.. anyway thanks for your reply I clip my gopro on my cap and take video everywhere. The security and police more notice on me. |

QUOTE(H K S @ Aug 1 2015, 04:25 AM) Was looking at the external HDD capability not onboard storage. But by adding an external HDD is considered additional device / luggage, thus void the purpose of a "1 stop multi tasking device". That's why I mentioned in the earlier post how I wished it had minimum 1TB. I really like this concept of trying to eliminate the laptop from trips. I do see the value.... Personally I don't care about editing while on a trip (there's an editing prog from their App), which might be useful for others. Yup, too many gadget in the luggage just add up the weight and too many thing to handle. I like travel light weight. Those editing job will just comeback and do. I don't have the time to do it while travelling. And it just spoil your holiday with the additional job.About the WD, yes it's the best solution for now. However the batt life is comparatively short & its mobile app has limited file format support it seems. I have been get rid the laptop quite a long time for travelling. Nowaday just a iPad. So any travelling gadget buy, I need best to consider not to involve with PC related. For the WD, it is very difficult decision to make. I really don't like to get an extra HDD. So extra memory card microsd is my 1st choice. But the promotion price is no more and cost me more compare a WD. And I have ton's of file need to get it back here. But lucky I get it cheap at RM657.4. Wish the gopro able direct wifi to WD. After a long holiday with the gopro, I learn to manage and estimate the memory usage. Not necessary to bring along the WD. Depend the how many day travelling. |

QUOTE(Petre @ Aug 12 2015, 11:40 AM) hi guys... can recommend a solution for me? I use 2 accessory. Wear a baseball cap, clip the gopro on the cap. if i go vacation in a city and would like to record me and my gang walking and discovering, what kind of setup is best? i dont think i'll use a helmet belt setup? i'll be wearing mostly tshirt and dont think i can buckle it to a belt... Pole is occasionally using. It is handy to bring along. City is crowded place. So you can't extend the pole and walk around all the time. Another usefull accessory is the clip to the backpack strap. Clip around your lower shoulder side. I use this accessory to walk around the city. |
