Can the macbook be turned on 24 hours a day ? Im asking this because i read some of u talking bout the heat this notebook produces which can reach 80 degree celcius. Do normal notebooks produce the same amount of heat ?

And one more thing, can i download torrents on mac OS ? I know i can install windows using parellel or the other software, forgot the name, but what about on mac os itself ?

Im planning to get a macbook in the future

Hi, you can do ALL that you mentioned, without worrying about the heat issue, though it would be advisable to put it on a notebook cooler.

As a matter of fact, I have my Macbook on 24 hours, downloading torrents all day long, listening to radio & iTunes, MSN, iChat, watching movies, browsing internet etc.

As for torrents, I'm using Transmission. Do a search, you'll find many other torrent softwares for Mac OSX.
