would like to ask anyone here if there's a possibility of getting scratches of Similar pattern on the face of macbook?

my gf's macbook has got 4-5 circular scratches on a few different areas on the front face of macbook..they look Very similar, as if it's printed on it..i doubt it's caused by someone or her own..is there a possibility of any known inherent problem tat causes it? heat prob or watever? anyone experience it b4?
