that might be the case
i tried editing my post for wordpress in safari and it appeared the visual rich editor (ajax) not appearing but in firefox everything functions as usual, agree?
*
agree.....heheh....

but the thing is, when i tried logging on to yahoo, there is a page saying that my browser is not supported, please continue and use the old interface....

there isn't a page like this for hotmail?? doh.gif

anyway, why wouldn't safari support ajax?

anyone having problems after installing the airport enabler? not the USD1.99 one, the one that is free in software update.....

after installing that update, my airport has been acting very unstable....it disconnects every 15-20 minutes from my router....it's just like what happened to my macbook when i updated from 10.4.7 to 10.4.8

my router is just next to my bed and i am using my macbook on my bed...so i dont think it's the distance.....

and it's running super slow as well......i cant stream any music or movies from my pc anymore.....i used to be able to do that.....

i had to format my macbook to solve the problem......i do not want to do that again.....

lokgotz,
Are u getting that wifi problem after ur MB goes to 'sleep'?  I'm having some problems with my wifi connection but i'm unable to determine if it's my router's problem or my MBPs problem (i think it might be the router since i haven't had such problems at the office)  hmm.gif
*
yeah.....some times......when it goes to sleep, wakeup, the it's disconnected......someimes cannot even detect my router......
sometimes it just disconnects out of a sudden......

lokgotz,
I'm having the same problem as u when I'm at home, and especially more so at home - not too sure about it logging me out of the office network - don't know whether my MBP's ever 'gone to bed' when i'm at the office but most certainly when I wake up in the morning, i'm disconnected from my network at home...

Still not sure if it's the router problem or MBP problem - will let u know when I figure it out but at the same time, if u figure it out, keep me updated too yah?  notworthy.gif
*
ok...i dont know if this is the correct solution or not...but it works for me.....u guys (or gals, for that matter) can give it a try...

all these while i was using Channel 6 for my wifi, i changed it to chanel 12 and it never disconnect since then.....signal is very strong also....

once again, i dont know if this will help u ppl, but it certainly solves my problem....heheh

Ok.... do i need any special configuration to connect to WIFI (router) ?

Couldn't connect even to "open" connection (searched with iStumbler), then try to connect to all those "open" connection. But then.. connection fail.

I just click on the wifi icon and select connect to that network. Didn't do any tweaking to the configuration... Am i doing something wrongly?
*
i am connecting through my macbook's airport.....didnt need istumbler....

nothing wrong also.......i've only had problems on 2 occations..
1. when i updated from 10.4.6 to 10.4.7.......couldn't conenct even when my MB is next to my router....i formatted my mac, update it to 10.4.7, then it's fine...until today i dont know what's wrong....

2. when i updated the wireless-n thing recently(not the USD2 ones, the one that apple released)...same probelm....couldnt connect when i am next to the router....i changed my router's channel to another channel and it's done...dunno what happened also...hehe.....

bear in mind that if the signal is weak, it's kinda impossible to conenct...

i have no problems connecting to my router and also in starbucks....

Connecting to DIGI network using a Mac running 10.4.6 and a Sony Ericsson K600i

1. Pair your phone with your computer
2. System Preferences > Network
3. Click Bluetooth
4. Click Configure
5. Account Name: digi
Password: diginet
Telephone number: *99#
Save password
5. Click PPP Options and deselect everything
6. Click Bluetooth Modem tab
7. Modem: Ericsson T39 28.8 v110 (your mileage may vary)
8. Show modem status in menu bar
9. Apply now and close System Preferences.
10. Click the phone icon in the menu bar and choose Connect to connect.

Important: The phone's APN must be diginet and not digiwap. On the SE K600i use Settings > Connectivity > Data comm > Data accounts > Edit > APN to see the APN.

Connecting to Maxis GPRS or 3G

For Maxis GPRS, settings are the same except for username, password and telephone number.
Username: maxis
password: wap
telephone number : *99***1#

Phone APN should be net for GRPS, and unet for 3G.

I don't know if this works with your smartphone or not, but it's worth a try...hehe....

oh yeah, credits to the original poster, although i forgot who it was. doh.gif ....heheh

meh.. something is wrong with my OSX ... hmmm...
It won't "auto re-fresh" (ok i have no idea what to call it ...)

Situation
For example i downloaded a zip file from the Internet to my Desktop (using FireFox), upon download completion, the file won't show on my Desktop until i "Right Click > Reveal File in Finder" from the Download Window of FIREFOX.

Or another example would be, i extracted the ZIP file, the contain won't show up ...

Any idea what is wrong here?

So, that means I can DIY the rams. From what I understand, OS X is already installed in the current HD rite? So when I get a new HD will they reinstall OS X for me or I also have to DIY that?
*
i dont know if they'll reinstall for u if u brought it back....

but installing OS X is easy......as easy as installing xp, if not easier......

i think even if it's tax free, it wont be RM4k, if u said it's RM6k or something it is still belivable...moreover computing stuff are already tax free.

or maybe it's a macbook....RM4k fits the bill for a "tax free" macbook...
