vandetta,
Actually, it's the other way round - he's the one who's got no idea who i am, though the last time I bumped into him, he did say he was gonna call me up for lunch.... |

tinkerbel,
If that so, when he asked you out for lunch, ask him to do a favor for me la ok? Or else, you can just buy me lunch BTW, it's OK I will try again with Apple, ask them for new unit, or at least, replace my HDD. |

vandetta,
Last time I bumped into him was almost 2 years ago. Besides I don't intend to claim my lunch date from him |

Ok.... do i need any special configuration to connect to WIFI (router) ?
Couldn't connect even to "open" connection (searched with iStumbler), then try to connect to all those "open" connection. But then.. connection fail. I just click on the wifi icon and select connect to that network. Didn't do any tweaking to the configuration... Am i doing something wrongly? |

Am i doing something wrongly? nothing wrong also.......i've only had problems on 2 occations.. 1. when i updated from 10.4.6 to 10.4.7.......couldn't conenct even when my MB is next to my router....i formatted my mac, update it to 10.4.7, then it's fine...until today i dont know what's wrong.... 2. when i updated the wireless-n thing recently(not the USD2 ones, the one that apple released)...same probelm....couldnt connect when i am next to the router....i changed my router's channel to another channel and it's done...dunno what happened also...hehe..... bear in mind that if the signal is weak, it's kinda impossible to conenct... i have no problems connecting to my router and also in starbucks.... |

QUOTE(i_love_japan @ Feb 1 2007, 04:46 AM) Hi guys....i'm having a problem that my macbook can't read any of the CD i insert into it. what's the problem? if i take it back to the mac station, will they do 1 to 1 exchange like ipod? i dont think they will do 1 to 1 exchange. they take your macbook and send for warranty. as for mine, somehow, the socket outlet at my office is not stable then it toasted my power charger together wtih the cord +connector > sent to the shop( where i bought macbook) then they sent for warranty. Added on February 15, 2007, 2:29 am QUOTE(danielwan @ Jan 31 2007, 08:52 PM) Hi everyone! Finally I brought an apple Mackbook last Monday (29/1/07) (infact 2 of it) at the machine in Midvalley! Theres one assistant by the name Ray which is so helpful in registering me my warranty, installing some of my needed software n gave some tutorial to me n my gf about mac n its wonder! So far Im satisfied with the service and hence like using the mac oso! i also bought macbook from there. This post has been edited by MC_Amig0: Feb 15 2007, 02:29 AM |

General question to all of you, especially those who work with Apple Resellers, do you go back to the store where you purchased your Mac to get service or is it faster/better to go to the Apple Authorized Service Providers eg. VR Technology?
Do places like MacAsia actually do service or are all repairs sent to VR Tech etc? |

i tried to googled it up. found da website that simply showed me that it could be done but i still couldn't get it connected. I suspect that only one LED lights up (the power LED) whenever i connect da modem to my MB. So how? any suggestions? |
