Any?
I know singaporeans are in the safe, their broadband is *cough* broad enough.
But streamyx can't even handle US-based servers (Civ IV lags on the PC), and XBLive, if I'm right, is a P2P system which depends on all players' connections- servers are for stats only.

I'm just looking for testaments that streamyx can handle Live.
If you're one of 'em, help me by posting here.
State your connection, where you live, how multiplayer feels, and how long you took to DL a demo (say, The Outfit).

TIA.

xbox live does run well. but depending on who or someone join your game.

if is a malaysian sure the connection will be good.

but if is a foreigner. then prepare for a little bit of slow down.

Erm well most of us are alright playing with local players. There will always be lag (online stuff always gets lag) but not to major cases where you can't do anything. Downloading takes hours though and yes playing on overseas servers tend to lag but not always. Occasionally you'll get into a lag free game smile.gif If Streamyx couldn't handle Xbox Live, then there wouldn't be as many Live gamers as there are now would there? wink.gif

Seems ok to me esp when playing with local players. Since i play DOA4 most of the time, I can say the following..

Players from :

Malaysia : Yes
Singapore : Yes
HK : So so
Japan : Most of the time, Yes
Korea : So so
Australia : So so
US & Europe : NO...lag badly.

Downloading demo's seem fine these days.. I downloaded the Tiger Woods demo(900MB) in less than 6 hrs last night.

Ping rates for local gamers are about 80~180ms from COD2 lar, since no other game I know of has the display.

Download speed varies according to date, time, alignment of stars, TMNet's attituide, your attituide, etc. etc. tongue.gif

all in all like Welwitcha hosting a game to fight other locals, no problems, playing with Singaporeans, no problems. Other countries... errr.. depends lar.

Well the truth to be said... streamyx should change their name to STREAMSUX!!!!. NO!! truthfully guys, this is what happen when a company monopolize the market. StreamSUX is government and i dont think they care about their CLIENT!!! MALAYSIA BEING A WELL IT COUNTRY (which in my opinion "yeah what ever dude") SELF PROCLAIM ONE OF THE BEST IT AND TELECOMMUNICATION COUNTRY (i really have to laugh on this) Is all fantasy YET to made reality. shakehead.gif

This is the truth about broadband in MALAYSIA!!!! it has been in the market for 5 years and only 5% of MALAYSIA utilizing it!!! SHOCKING YEAH!!!! But its the truth... not even in a safe area (for client to voice out their feelings) which is in my opinion at least 30% The only area in MALAYSIA utilize the full performance of streamSUX is CYBER JAYA!!! The rest, IMO not even close!. Wanna ask me where i got this information.. "THIS IS WHAT HAPPEN WHEN YOU CALL STREAMSUX OPERATOR MORE THEN 100 TIMES, AUTOMATICALY YOU MAKE FRIENDS tongue.gif HEHEHE.

Basic user RM99. DOnt even think about getting the full 1MB. I am using ENTERPRISE package which is RM450 monthly just to be on par with the normal basic package IMO no where hahahahaha. WANNA SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!! EASY ... OPEN TELECOMMUNICATION TO 3RD PARTY COMPANY, THAT SHOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM. (BUT IF YOU ASK ME.. PERSONALY... WHAT HAPPEN TO DIGI, MAXIS, GOD KNOWS WHAT HAPPEN TO TIMENET) THEY ARE ALL RISTRICTED TO AREAS. poor poor them.. icon_question.gif if only all of them can show thei potential on broadband connection. sad.gif

Well, I SHARE THE FEELINGS TO THE CREATED OF THESE THREAD. Been there done that!!! vmad.gif But really dude... you cant do anything but looking at StreamSUX and hoping they will think and upgrade their product and quality control. Living in Johor Bahru and looking at our brother from Singapore, having friends in Philipines and Hong Kong .... really, you will open your eyes and think ... is RM99 ringgit worthit payin for and not even 1MB download rate doh.gif . And i'm being a loser paying RM450 a month just to get good connection.. (well enough to play online games) shocking.gif That is all i have to say...

ps: really, streamyx package is a JOKE!!!!

Oh I forgot to add.. Burnout Revenge supports 6 players. However on Streamyx, its almost impossible to have 5 players. Singaporeans, on the other hand, have no problem with 6 users. blush.gif

TIME is good but suffers due to lack of finance. Their service sometimes goes down for a week or so. I hate Streamyx too. Customer support is completely idiotic and useless. They don't even answer my questions properly. But we don't have any other choice do we?
