Want better performance? Go for the Y400.
Z400 is slim. Quad core generate lots of heat. Not a good combo.

shocking.gif It mean Y400 is more better than Z400?

1. Y400 uses 14" WLED HD screen while Y500 uses 15" Full HD WLED screen.
2. Y400 has no numpad while the Y500 do.
3. Y500 has better cooling due to its larger internal space than Y400.
4. Y500 comes with 2x GT650M/GT750M SLi as standard while the Y400 needs you to buy it separately.

better in terms of cooling and gaming performance. the Z400 is thinner, so it traps heat easily, making the core i7 not a perfect combo if you intend to game only. also, compared to GT740M on Z400, the Y400 uses GT750M, which surpasses/on par with the performance of a GTX660M.

Egypt? You need laptop with International warranty. Also please check the brands that give International Warranty has service centre at the area that you are going (check online).
Whether it is "durable or less problem" depends on your luck laugh.gif All laptop models has lemon unit tongue.gif

Asus
K46CM-WX090H, i5-3317U + Nvidia GT635M@RM2199[2kg], 2GB, 500GB, W8, OD

Lenovo
S400, i5-3317U + Intel HD4000 + 24GB mSATA + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM1999[1.8kg], 4GB, W7HB; AMD HD7450M/W8@RM2199

Prices are RSP, negotiable.
Use the remaining of your budget to increase RAM (Asus, 4G stick ~ RM80), buy SSD to swap with HDD (256G SSD ~ RM600+/-).

if you play mid-high end games, go for the HP envy 4 with 32GB mSATA SSD, which is RM2399. if you just intend to get an ultrabook for office usage only, suggest you get the U840.

I'm eyeing the Dell vostro 5460. Is it suitable for students who are going to enter college? And where can I take a look at the real thing?

Can never be sure what brand of SSD laptop brand use tongue.gif especially on the mSATA small capacity since the margin is so low ...
The recent Latitude E6430 company laptop that I get is using Samsung 256G SSD though  thumbup.gif
iinm, MBP/MBA also has changed SSD supplier a few time ...

The temp is a bit high, but not critical  sweat.gif Think about the solutions that we talk about ...
Or maybe you should really ditch this 15R SE if you are not comfortable with it tongue.gif

I see,I thought it will be sure using the Samsung brand sad.gif That means if i replaced the liteon msata ssd with crucial m4,I only can sell the liteon msata ssd lower than other ssd not? sad.gif I not sure about the price of liteon ssd because I never saw people selling it before sad.gif

Hmmm,I would try to apply a cooler pad and see how it work,if still cant make it,I think I would fork out the RM80 and grab the illegear RE-15 sad.gif Hope RE-15 wont give me so much problem sad.gif

Anyway,do you have any idea how to clean the backlid cover? my fingerprint all over the backlid cover and make it looks super dirty sad.gif

Actually at the OEM sphere, iinm, Samsung / Plextor / Liteone / Micron are the big players in SSD. But margin is so thin sweat.gif
2nd hand price for 32GB mSATA SSD (whatever brands) is pretty low though tongue.gif

Cooler pad is good. You can use it with the RE-15 as well biggrin.gif

Please recommend me mid range gaming laptop (sort by price) with these compulsory criteria:
1. Full HD
2. Must use NVidia GPU
3. Minimum GT 640M 635M
4. Price range 1.5k - 3.5k

The only models that i know fit into those criteria are Lenovo Y500 & Illegear R15. But i'm looking for cheaper alternative.

yes, it is regarding space and speed. the spectra uses SSD while the envy 4 uses 500GB mechanical hard drive with 32GB mSATA SSD caching. the processor and graphics card are different too.

more than 15.6 inch means you are looking for 17 inch laptops, and the price tag may exceed more than you expected. sweat.gif
