Just to share my experience, it is 1 week post-lasik op from Dr Stephen Chung at Optimax.

Pre-op vision
-5.5/-4.75 ; -6.5/-3.75

Getting up from the operation table, my vision is immediately clearer than pre-op albeit being a little cloudy and sensitive to light.
But an hour after I was filling fine and having rojak and cendol for lunch by the road side. biggrin.gif
Went home to take a nap but couldn't really sleep.
4 hours after surgery, I was watching TV hahaha
Eyes looked fine with no redness or dryness and no pain.

Just went for my 1 week check up and everything is looking good. I am now -0.25 with slight astigmatism on my right eye and according to my optometrist the vision is actually really good. (I don't know what is good since I've been wearing glasses since I was 4 years old haha)
Waiting for the eyes to further heal and stabilise. Need to stop looking at lowyat too much. tongue.gif

So far so good smile.gif

Is it ok to use the bottled version instead of the single-vial version of artificial tears 1 year post-lasik? understand that the difference is the preservative

1 year later?  does this mean that some lasik patients may depend on eye drops for the rest of their life?

perhaps.

but i use it because i mainly am facing the computer a lot, & do sports in the sun without sunglasses

Anyhoo I found my answer. I tried using 1 with preservative but it wasn't comfortable, perhaps because the eyes is sensitive to the preservative. Made my eyes burn a lil.
Looks like I'll be sticking with single vials for comfort instead...
